Alyssa Kildare, Carolyn Morales, meaghan Clarke,
Alexandra Bellini, Meaghan Healey, Lauren Lopez, Danielle Castellane, Sean Donnelan (?)

There has to be a better way to make it more equitable? Maybe include HS and Club coaches for voting and committee goes over the votes and decides ?

Involving club coaches would make it worse. The problem already is that the awards are based on on lifetime achievement and reputation, not performance in the current season which is what it is designed for.

Then absolutely it should be club directors and coaches involved as well. They have some more insight to the history of the players? They all play each other and know the girls in the LI lacrosse scene. They know more about the players over the years.

You must be kidding trying to involve club directors. They would only advocate for their own girls. AA has nothing to do with club lacrosse. I think the HS coaches do a good job voting for the girls who are game changers and positive role models. Obviously, to be an AA you need to play well against the better teams. Also, AA is reserved for upper classmen committed to play in college

Well, aren’t a lot of the HS coaches on LI involved with the various clubs on LI anyways? Some, even directors? It was more of a statement about knowing the LI talent. I would hope they would be fair in naming top HS talent, regardless. That’s why you try to have a committee of knowledgeable lacrosse people. Come to agreement on the talent. Very hard to figure that out by stats. Lots of lopsided brackets! Easy to have amazing stats in some conferences and harder in others.
