Who told your daughter that she is a tier one recruit? Have the Duke Coaches expressed interest in your daughter? Does your daughter want to go to Duke?

Yes, Duke coaches do communicate with club directors to indicate degree of interest. As do several other schools.

Thanks for the input but not really relevant and did not answer any of the 3 questions. I will assume that you are not the original poster.

This is great opportunity to not take things for granted.
Its best to attend the camp!

Not a big fan of the camps, not always a good representation of girls true ability, especially if they get stuck in a group with selfish players. I know some schools like Duke and Virginia and some Ivies do a lot of recruiting from the camps, but I think that’s more to identify girls their interested in. If your daughter plays on any of the top LI programs like YJ,TG, Legacy or Jesters, the coaches will most likely want to watch your daughter play against other top competition in the tournaments before deciding to recruit. Not sure if attending a camp in late August is going to really change the decisions that coaches have already made about who they plan on recruiting. If a girl has done well all summer and is identified as a recruit, and shows up at a camp and doesn’t perform well, I think it could possibly hurt.
