Welcome to Back of Cage! – Your Source for Local, Regional and National Lacrosse News, & Information for nearly a decade.
Backofthecage.com was founded in 2010 with the mission to provide lacrosse families with news and information primarily on Long Island through a single forum that allowed registered and anonymous users to have open discussions to share their experience, opinions and thoughts about the local lacrosse community to help others make educated decisions about the ‘club’ market and everything revolving around the clubs.
Upon creation of Back of the Cage, it has been converted to a multiple-forum covering youth through high school lacrosse not only in the Tri-State New York Metropolitan Area (Long Island, CT, NJ and Westchester) but has expanded into the Mid-Atlantic Region, specifically in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania and Vicinity. The forum remains the premier place for online discussions in the hotbeds of lacrosse covering youth though high school lacrosse.
Since then, Back of the Cage has been bringing local news about lacrosse camps, lacrosse clinics, lacrosse clubs, lacrosse leagues, lacrosse tournaments and lacrosse showcases in addition to lacrosse specific services, college stories, rules about the game, recruiting platforms, lacrosse equipment and several other topics of lacrosse to these local, regional & national markets to provide information to the lacrosse families and players while serving as platform for organizations to spread their word about the game of lacrosse and simultaneously seeing what other lacrosse programs are offering. Anyone interested in advertising your team, event or service, you can go to the Contact Us tab.
Back of the Cage (BOTC) was acquired by new ownership in July of 2017 by experienced lacrosse players who played at the highest levels and having been involved in the youth through high school scene for well over a decade. They will remain as the chief administration and have been implementing more resources that will feature more news coverage, scoreboards, forum pulls, a recruiting database, a job directory, blogs and computer power rankings for club teams among many other features to make Back of the Cage a one stop shop for your local lacrosse news and information for both boys and girls lacrosse.
