SW not having parent coaches is a huge advantage at the HS level. Favoritism, perceived or real, when recruiting is involved can lead to drama. They also seem to have quality, non parent coaches. The 27 coach just had an undefeated state championship season and has a proven track record both at the HS and club level with SW. The 25 coach has been on staff at SPSG throughout their recent success and has the 25s going in the right direction. Proven non parent coaching and proven recruiting success/connections attracts talented kids from other clubs. It just surprises me that Coppermine, with their facilities and funding, can't pull a few state championship coaches like this that are not coaching their own daughters.

The plain truth is SW has a very solid defense for a mid-tier A team.

But they are absolutely lacking offense. The really struggle to score against decent teams. Their new defense additions have been a plus. But that offense is pedestrian to put it nicely.

We played them in the spring and won 90% of the draws and I don't think our defense broke a sweat
