I would look where student athletes are committing. Many are very good academic schools. Not an elitist statement, but are many public school players committing to high end academic schools?
Really Depends on the school/coach.
Princeton, Loyola, Service Academies have more Maryland Publics Vandy, Duke, UVA, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Stanford have mostly, if not all, IAAM
Carolina has more Maryland Publics and NW & Cal only have 1 Maryland Player, both who came from a Public School
U of Maryland has a lot of Maryland Publics but 3x the IAAM kids.
and the rest of the "top" academic schools don't have a ton of Maryland kids.
Don't feel like looking up the rest of the Patriot League, but i would assume it sways private.
