Unfortunately, it seems that all players that have a parent involved are under this intense scrutiny and people love to try to make it all about the "connection." I know SWR had the same issues, Smithtown, etc, on the boys side. People believe being the child of a coach is great and the carpet gets rolled out for them, from what I am reading here it's obviously both a curse and a blessing and they constantly have to prove themselves - luckily for most of them they rise to the challenge and just prove themselves on the field. The additional unfortunate part is that even the ones who are hoping to see the player fail to prove themselves right, will never be adult or mature enough to admit they are wrong.
