4 years of eligibility once you enter 9th grade---can't re-class in HS --unless you leave HS for a prep school. Most re-class happens in MS or kids start Kindergarten late. The football hot bed states made it common for students to repeat 8th grade ---
So if you repeat a grade, you can’t participate senior year.
Only if you repeat during High School years. ..Repeating 8th still gets you 4 years in High School
incorrect.. The rules state you get 6 consecutive years in HS athletics, but only if you start in 7th grade, 5 years if 8th grade, 4 in 9th. You cannot start varsity in 7th and then repeat a grade to reclass for HS. Reclass in 6th grade.. you cant play anyway.
