No idea who showed up to Rebels but IMO it is near impossible to start a new A team from scratch, especially for the 2024's that are not overloaded with talent like some of the other grades. Unless they have a core of talented players that are committed to the team (and how could they?), they will be getting everybody else's scraps. What talented player is going to jump ship for the unknown? It will be impossible for this team to run with the big boys this year.
I was there and there was a lot of kids. Around 45 kids. Who came. Lots of different helmets, but defenitely saw legacy, 91, and ducks helmets. Plenty of talented kids showed and this was not actual tryouts. It was just supplemental camp yesterday. I bet they will get more for tryouts in August. And the coaching was amazing. Lots of interaction. Plenty of manpower. Organization is defenitely investing in their teams.
