Amen! that was my point. The parents are using YJ as a bragging point when the people they are bragging to have no idea the kid is on the low end of the roster, I've witnessed this myself. Just to say kid plays for YJ, be happy with a 5th team placement for thousands of $ spent to still remain there. But oh yes the parents get the sticker and the jacket though. what a trade off!
That is hilarious. This is not restricted to just travel teams. Parents in West Islip wear team jackets like they are still playing. It looks like they have an over 40 team for every sport.
Say what you want about West Islip parents wardrobe but they do turn out and support their teams just ask Farmingdale
