You really can't expect a kid to bridge a 2 or 3 year gap at certain ages in the early teens. A lot of kids quit because of this. The kids resent it too. I have seen and heard it. Bad stuff.

Never heard a kid resent it. Not sure in 15 years involvement in lacrosse. Kids I coached always just played. Parents on the other hand whines and complained incessantly. The kids never cared, not sure where you are from or the HA your associated with, seems like the kids are more concerned with holdbacks than actually playing. Not a good environment.
