Do you work out with the varsity last summer and this winter? Does the coach even know who your kid is? The best way is to have your son approach the coach and mention his interest. I have seen this go three ways. 1. Parent pushes coaches to take junior up and then complain about lack of playing time, 2. Coaches have no idea who a player is and finds out from the JV coach at the end of the season that JR should be playing up and they move him up, 3.JR earns his way up to varsity, understands that play8ng time is earned and works his way on to the field.

3 is the best option, but it may be too late
