Does anyone else see the errors in the reporting of scores and stats to newsday or lilj. Some of the numbers are fantasy. Finals scores usually accurate but stats are way off (assists, saves). Some scorers tables have HS kids and admins with no knowledge of the game. I have an attack and goalie playing and some stats are not even close. These results are often looked at by scouts and hurt potential recruits. Anyone else have thoughts on this.

Would not worry too much about it. College coaches do not do their recruiting by looking at Newsday Stats. I believe the winning coach is responsible for notifying Newsday of the score and the statistics. Also, college coaches do not really recruit at HS games. You will see College coaches at HS playoff games once the college season is over. Unfortunately, many times the coaches are there to watch and support the players that have already committed.

The stats don’t seem to add up on Newsday or LILJ. Don’t know who’s keeping track?. You can see, some teams take the reporting more serious than others

Good luck, they've been terrible for years. Unfortunately for some the stats do matter. County and conference leaders are based on incorrectly reported and recorded stats. I'm on my third player now so I've given up. I did a check a few years ago with saves and the winning teams goalie was padded by more than 5 additional saves. For those who say it doesn't matter try asking your kid.
