[quote=Anonymous]I commend BL for their strategic decision to board students. BL is leveraging their historic lacrosse heritage and making a move. Local demographics have shifted with a smaller population to recruit students. Towson High and Dulaney High are basically being rebuilt to state of the art institutions. St Pauls and SPSG merged. Loyola built a new impressive middle school building. Gilman is filling the woke progressive void. MCD relied on a big non alum donor for impressive facilties. CHC needs to figure out their next move because a large student body is non

While I agree with you.....you're taking politicians' promises too literally. While the County is building a war chest to fund both projects, building capital projects on public land is a long process.

DHS was going to go to construction in late 2024 *if* permits were secured by 7-1-23, which they were not. Construction will last at least until summer 2026. Most likely 1st grad class at all will be the 2028s.

THS was politically slotted behind DHS and Lansdowne But theres less work to do. Milestones for a 2025 construction start have all, already been blown. Most likely a 2027 start date and 1st class in the new buildings will be 2029s or 2030s.

None of this invalidates your point but the impact to other Towson MIAA schools is farther off in the distance.
