While the MIAA has turned a blind eye to certain over age kids, one being a freshman at UNC this year, they have always been pretty strict on their transfer rules. There are waivers if you move more than a certain miles(I believe it's 25 or 50). And if you didn't play Varsity at the previous school you don't have to sit. I know of several kids that played Club for a year because of the transfer rules.
The freshmen you speak of made Team USA U19 team, you know meaning he is U19...but I'm sure USA Lacrosse overlooked it to, no way Canada would care if the kid was 20...
