Like basketball. Agreed. Boys should get rid of the faceoff too. The boys it's even worse. Can't stand the fact that a guys sole purpose is to take the faceoff and then get off the field. Girl's game isn't there yet, but might be soon.
But the high school rule now being applied to college (only 3 in midfield until possession) is at least a step in the right direction. No more giant scrums.
