True, over the years the best coaches my kids have had, were not the best players. In fact the "All Star" coaches turned out to be the worst. Playing and coaching are two entirely different things.


The problem is to send out an email saying that the team is being disbanded, only to come back and ask the same kids to come back because of the hall of fame coach. They will draw from other programs because there will be kids who want to step up to the bigger programs, and the ability to play for a professional coach instead of someone's dad. The problem is that the core of the team has been broken up, they are already looking to go to an established team that is looking to only fill a few holes. We will see what happens. I expect to see many Avalanche players trying out at 9d1, Express and Icon because of this experience.
