My son is a very young 8th grader. Considering the opponents we saw on the field, I know my son doesn't have a chance to standout out until he hits puberty. We don't whine about it, its not something our family even talks about. He plays the game because its fun. Period.
Adults are ruining this great game for many but its mainly because you allow it to happen. You can not control the holdbacks, so why sweat it?
