I assume for the obvious reason, easy opponents avoids early season losses. In the same vein, why are the MadLax Capital teams not playing at all in 2027, 2029, and 2030? Are they playing in different events this weekend?
The “obvious reason” you must be alluding to is the fact that this is a NL tournament. Frankly, I’m surprised they let Madlax play, lot of animosity between those two owners. But NL could have scheduled themselves to play Madlax, alas, they did not… don’t call Madlax the ones ducking

Buddy, this is a next level event. They run it. He can schedule whoever they want to play. Bottom line is, they did not schedule Madlax. Use your imagination or just ignore the obvious. But I certainly don’t blame Madlax for ducking anybody by playing the cannons. They’re also playing leading edge, freedom red, and red hots.
Buddy, Madlax scheduled Leading Edge for a private scrimmage at their practice field with their refs so it wouldn't count against their 'ranking.' Lame.
Full length game, real refs in real uniforms, four 12 minute quarters with real timeouts. Madlax won 7-5. Leading Edge a very big and physical team. Attackmen are their biggest players. Suspect they will do well on Sunday.[/quoteq]
