I detest to tell you but I am 99% sure that coaches do not read this forum, and 110% sure that none of them would admit doing so. If you want your son's team to schedule a scrimmage I suggest you email his coach or a program director and make the suggestion.
Best to wait on the team mom to tell you when there's a scrimmage!
