This is a clear violation of your stated eligibility rule as stated on the Under Armour Lacrosse website as follows: "You MUST live within the geographic region for the team you are trying out for..."

Clearly the girls on the NE team from LI did NOT live in the New England/Geographic region... and they did not make their own region's team.

If there is a different rule or interpretation of this rule which allowed these LI girls to tryout out for the New England team after not making the Long Island team, then please enlighten the lacrosse community because it is a question that deserves an answer.

This is setting a very bad precedent and takes away from the spirit of the tournament.

Just curious, was your daughter on the LI team ? Did she try out ? or do you live in new England and these 2 girls took spots from someone you know ? just trying to figure out your motivation for bashing 16 yr old student athletes who probably very much wanted to play in the event.

My guess is they are annoyed that their child went thru the tryout process and made the LI team and feel that its a very big honor to have been one of the 24 selected from LI,lots of talented kids got cut. Now you have 26 kids diminishing the accomplishment somewhat. You also have many kids that were cut who did not feel they had the option of trying out for another region as the rules do clearly state you cannot. The mother of one of those NE players could not tell enough people how her kid did not make the team because of politics again diminishing the accomplishment of those that did. Bending the rules to get an unfair advantage over other LI kids makes the process seem like a joke ,again diminishing other kids accomplishment. When you state maybe they just really wanted to play you act as if all the other kids who showed up and got cut did not want to play as bad as your kid when in reality they just were not as desperate and unethical.
