Too many money grabs. Coaches can't get everywhere. Just like the Nationals, a very weak field of teams yet its labeled the National Championship. Every week is promoted as the biggest showcase tournament of the year
Agreed not all the to teams go to the nationals but I think the tournament is a great idea and you do get a lot of teams from across the country.If more of the top teams attended it could easily be a great tournament not run by any particular club so no real favoritism. The Maryland teams can say what they want but the age restrictions are a major reason they do not attend. They used to but rarely won so now they make excuses. Say what they want but the MD teams clearly enjoy some home town reffing against the LI clubs most of the summer to the oint that its comical at times.
