So while people are playing the I am going to a catholic school card to the weaker public schools, the reality is that is all it is, a card. Also why would you want your 8th grade kid hanging around 12th graders? My 8th grade kid is pleased to play JV and will most likely play JV again next year, as there are 6 D1 kids at his position in our school this year and only one is graduating.

Why post this? What are you trying to convince yourself or someone else? Is your situation/decision the only right one? Some people are not in "quality lax" schools (as you would so nicely put it). So the option for them is to play where they belong in that program, be it JV or Varsity. Some kids will make the team @ St. Anthonys, & its not a "card" they are playing. It is great that your son is pleased to play JV for the next year or two & you have 6 D1 kids playing in his position. Not everyone is in the same position. Maybe you should consider moving to a "weaker" lax program for him to get some playing time? IDK nor would I ever assume I did. I just dont understand the anger or resentment towards other players decisions. Do what is best for your kid & stop the hating towards others. I have not seen one post from an 8th grade player or their parent boasting about thier situation on here, IDK why you feel it necessary to put them down. Live & let live, it will all work out in the end.
