That makes sense in that not all players that show up at these pay$525 to play camps are the best of the age group from all over the country. Jake always had top tier top level talent in a small group setting that college coaches could attend and recruit from. This new process only dilutes the talent pool with those that can afford to pay to attend regardless of talent level.


One of the regional directors of this program told a friend of mine who coaches to recommend only quality players. It is not a "talentless who can pay to play" situation. It was intoned that recommending lesser players will diminish the future acceptance of recommendations from the coaches.
