Because with holdbacks a team is really a 2026/2025 team and that makes a big difference. A 7th/8th grade team age wise comapared to a 7th grade team. Big difference and not equal.
So when the college recruits the holdback are you going to complain to college that it is not fair? Only way to beat the system is to holdback or maybe even double holdback.
A fully grown player/kid is different than a developing kid going through puberty.
