Not starting a fight hopefully… just looking for some different perspectives from the local lacrosse parent

What’s the vibe… hmmm… liberal. Nerdy. Terrific facilities. Blah colors.

That’s a non McD parent take.

Open to conservatives if your kid is well educated and can defend his position. A little bit of Daniel in the Lion's Den is good for this generation. Civil educated discourse is encouraged and required. Be prepared to be challenged academically. Collegiate level time management skills are required to be a high performing three sport athlete and take multiple APs. Five day boarding option is great if you live far away. Has a better campus than most of the Ivies I've visited. Unless you're stuck on the single sex model or have to be at a religiously affiliated school, this is the best college prep option available in the Bmore region. Really tough to get into the School. If you get in, accept....

Tough to get in because after teachers kids and athletes there are not many spots left. Have seen very smart students with great test scores not get in. They did just fine by not going there. They try to make classes close to 50/50 boy/girl-I think they still use those terms @ McD. In talking to parents who have removed their kids, the academics are much stronger elsewhere in MIAA conference. Why would a student need to "defend" position outside of debate club?? Can't they just attend and have a position like other schools? You like that McD cool aid.

Great academics, great facilities, competitive athletics. Once you graduate from McD you always have a "FAMILY". If you didn't graduate from there you don't get it.
