A few things I am wondering about: 1. If a kid is going to lots of "showcases" but really isn't that great, will a poor performance as a rising 9th grader possibly hurt his in a year or two? I guess what I am asking, do the coaches in attendance keep a list of kids that have contacted them and just aren't that good or will they look at the kid again in the future, if the kid ends up being better than he is right now
2. Do committed kids continue to play in "all-star" games and do their parents continue to pay big bucks for showcase events?
