Any observations from and of the JV games the 2023s played in over the weekend? I think BL, St.P, Loyola and CH all had games.

As far as I'm aware, Looneys 2023 Orange has zero holdbacks. It's possible that one or two did a "Prefirst" holdback (a few kids don't have birthdays listed). None of them did an 8th grade holdback.

And based on many of the kids playing in age based box tournaments, the top kids are all "on age 2023". So they all just turned 15 or will in the next few months. 16 year olds wouldn't have been eligible for the U15 box tournaments the kids have been playing in over the Winter.

Looneys has holdbacks. It does not matter if it’s prefirst or another year.

Calvert Hall JV is going to be special this year; very impressive scrimmage yesterday against Gonzaga. Just like the varsity they run the MIAA and JV and Varisty win it all this year.

Calvert Hall wins MIAA ship for foreseeable future until BL gets their boarding school up and running or McD stops messing around with their boarders and brings in out of state players only. Until then, it is CH, Ch , CH, etc. winning Championships year after year.

Gilman easily would have keep winning year after year if they hadnt got rid of their coach. Who immediately took his players to St Frances. And on cue, MIAA refuses to play St Frances after getting stomped on by former coach and players.

CH is not getting rid of Kelly. So expect CH to dominate until other programs do something to compete. Sorry, just the way it is. .

What has happened to the 2023 Baltimore Crabs? I think they’ve lost 3-4 games already this summer. Today to a Thunder team at NLF😳

FCA playing BBB against watered down competition; what has happened to elite lax at the 2023 level?

This is what happens when the Crabs Coaches don't develop players and when hold backs start to lose the age and maturity advantage that they had.

Same thunder team also beat DC Dogs who also went to OT v Sweetlax. All the games at NLF were close

So many teams. Every program is “elite”. If everyone is elite, no one is elite.

Now we are jawing about JV? Yikes. How’s your B club team? Dominating the lower tourney bracket this summer?

Politics wins this time. We all know what happens in the end to shady, cheating politicians. It only lasts for so long until you have to actually man-up. Stay tuned, tides do change!

Looneys dominating B level teams at NAL. This team continues to regress with daddy ball mentality.

Is a former Looney’s dad Coach posting all these? Sure, everyone knows Looneys 2023 cannot compete with top teams and has underperformed year after year, but the combo post about Hawks seems obvious who posted it.

The last time Hawks 2023 lost a Tourney was in 2018.

Good observation but let’s be honest, word is out Looneys club is imploding and the 23s just don’t have the talent to play elite level ball. Decent goaltending and some nice attack but after that yikes.

Yeah - Hawks are desperate only able to win games now with guest players trying to recreate the True Mid-Atlantic formula...sad really that the club can't seem to win anymore with just a pure local Maryland team of talent. Think a few holdbacks on that roster as well....and if playing TM 91 Maryland, DC Express, and Leading Edge are considered the "A" bracket to brag about...someone hold my beer and pass me a box of tissues because I am laughing so hard.

Funny. Hawks are suddenly desperate. Even though they won every tournament last year. Beating DC dogs. Crabs. Long island this and that. And just won Again. With a team that went through tryouts last August. Um. Ok. Maybe they are just a good team. How about that.

Looneys Road to a tournament title - Orange Crush, Express North and Bluestar followed by Juice Cherries in Finals. 3 of those teams played at the AA Level a week prior. Move Looneys to the elite bracket of NAL and they go 0-3. Play DC Dogs or Hawks in the finals and the lose by double digits. It’s a joke that their considered NAL champions.

It is a joke that a former parent spends so much time following the team and commenting negatively on this site. The team is pretty good and much better than last year. You need to get over it and possibly talk to a therapist. Your posts are becoming a little troubling.

Personally, I think it’s someone from FCA! No one has mentioned that they lost two games yesterday and one the day before. Why would anyone be upset with Looneys or Hawks for winning. That sounds a little weird to me. Nice try though!
FCA was so excited to win in scrimmages where teams were missing players. It’s got to be embarrassing when you realize your still the same teams you always have been. At least your better than 91 this year! Cheers!

Very true and to think that 10 FCA players made UA roster is laughable. Hawks has been the best team at this grade for years and they have 5...all great players and deserving. FCA has 10 with maybe 3-4 being deserving. You have to laugh at a process that has multiple FCA coaches involved, one of which is a dad of a player trying out. Not to mention another dad from a different club acting as an evaluator. No surprise his son also made the team after a subpar tryout.

The club is better in every facet compared to last year. Anyone claiming they are imploding is obviously clueless - or confusing the Orange team with the Green team.

This is such an absurd discussion, if any of you think that a team's record means anything at this age, you are simply clueless. The only reason any of you care about this garbage is for the bragging rights for your own egos. Every one of the teams at NAL have a kid, or in some cases kids, that can play elite college level lacrosse. Sure there may be more of those players on Hawks, DC Dogs, etc., but in the big picture, it is meaningless. We all know that if your kid is good enough, he will be discovered. What's more amazing is watching the parents of 15-16 year-olds at these tournaments carrying tents and coolers to the sidelines for their kid's team, any opportunity to get in the good graces of the coach and get more playing time for little Johnny...pathetic

Or to make sure their kids are shaded and hydrated in 100+ degree temps which can be deadly.....what a moronic statement!!
