How did u guys do against team elevates 2021 team? If this is directed at YJ, 3-0. TG lost at least one if not more. NO need to bring Elevate into a TG/YJ battle.

Hey YJ's, in addition to the recruiting services you offer, how about a seminar on how parents should explain to their kids the politics involved in moving down a team. You could charge of course! That is not the club's job, that is the job of a parent. YOU should be the one setting expectations for them, tell them what REAL life is about and how they wont always make the top team and they wont always win their school election and they wont always have the best score on a test. YOU should be telling them and setting expectations that when they go to a "tryout" they are picking the top kids and you may or may not be one of them, otherwise stick to PAL. Unless you are placed on the Curcio team without a tryout!

Careful TG, you might be slipping out of the discussion in a few age groups...

To the whiner. The fact is, your kid is clearly not on of the best players. You are making that crystal clear. They may be outplayed by some new kids and you will blame everyone instead of making it a perfect parenting moment. That's a fact. Argue it, no problem. You need to convince yourself that everything you say is true. Everyone knows man. Stop embarrassing yourself. Maintain a shred of dignity.

I don't think it is "people". I think it is one sour grape father. How about we ignore this guy. Just let him have his temper tantrums.

Your also the guy that blames the teacher when your kid gets a bad grade, blames the ref when you lose a game and is immediately defensive at the drop of any confrontation. AND you are involved in EVERY confrontation. We know your type. Your personalty is very well known in the lacrosse world. It's hard to take anything you write as credible. Now you are teaching your kid the same thing. Go throw a ball with her or better yet, don't because you probably have her out practicing all the time. Let her tryout and be happy for her with the team she earns. WE KNOW what your going to write "She should be on a higher team but politics politics politics. When a kid is amazing there are no politics.

You guys are all over the top. I get the fact that politics play a role in forming the teams and yes in a perfect world it should not. We do not live in a perfect world and the kid that makes a team that maybe they would not have should not be blamed.Easy to say to accept being moved down but in reality its not easy to tell your kid they will not be playing with their friends or the coach they love because they were not good enough and should work harder. That being said it is a teachable moment and running to another club or blaming politics is not really the best lesson. As far as when a "kid is amazing there are no politics" ,you need a reality check. There are politics at every level of life and sports no matter how good you are, go look at the senior recruit rankings , the best player on Long Island is ranked like 15 behind many players who openly admit she is the best. Is what it is.

Anyone who has watched this age group play would say so. After that, about 30 kids who are interchangeable....

Actually not everywhere, only really at YJ on the girls side as top players move to that program and not away from it. All of these kids are known commodities and a tryout is a formality. By the way, dozens of posts just prior to this tried the same lame shot at THE program. New material please, don't be lazy next time and at least read a few pages of the blog so you are up to speed.

And if you really think that people have a clue who 3/4 of that team is you really are delusional. All I can say is you are THE biggest schmuck I have unfortunately happened to read. Now please go ahead and tell us she made school girls or something [money grab] everyone knows your best kid at the time didn't go. Keep it up proud papa.

EI girl at 4 is just a preposterous. I'm not sure she would be in my top 5 for Long Island much less the country. I agree with post about WB girl. If she's not #1 then she's a close second. Manhasset girl is dynamite as well.

You seem to be missing the point and more interested in hurling insults than exchanging thoughts on the matter. sad but anonymity seems to be a warm blanket for your classless approach. The point is that tryouts are not the only way to be selected for a team, most of these girls have been seen on the field for years. This is no different than a very good YJ player not being able to attend tryouts, do you not put her on the team? Your team placement last summer does not guarantee you a spot the following summer, your play does.

However, there is a current 2020 YJ player that is a fantastic player that may actually be better than the one you're getting. There are also at least 2 TG girls that match her in skill. She certainly won't hurt the YJ team but that team already has a bunch of talent.

We will see how NL stacks up this year with the other girl off at Hofstra. Very good shot but not to conservative in her shot selection. I think LR, SA, and SP are unstoppable one on one. No slight to anyone on that list. I just think those 3 are the best.

How did the 2020 do against Lady Rebels today? They lost but that's what you expect . The 2020 player YJ picked up is very good but not close to the best TG 2020 player . As far as other TG players being even remotely close to those two in talent , not a chance . TG 2020 will still be very good due to 1 player and 1 player only , YJ has probably surpassed them with some good additions and some critical subtraction from TG including their coach .

Your evaluation of talent is not very good. You will be very surprised at how much stronger YJ 2020 will be this year.

That player got robbed. Two best players on L.I. At 2015 age: WBab player on TG going to BC and Mt. Sinai player on YJ going to UF! Anyone who has watched this age group play would say so. After that, about 30 kids who are interchangeable.... so not true best player in 2015, is L.R. from 'set Please , that kid is not even remotely close to the two that were mentioned , not even the best player on her high school team.

"Yes, YJ picked up a very good 2020 player. However, there is a current 2020 YJ player that is a fantastic player that may actually be better than the one you're getting. There are also at least 2 TG girls that match her in skill. She certainly won't hurt the YJ team but that team already has a bunch of talent."
While I tend to agree in terms of team play and making the kids around her better Tg still has a kid that as of now is the best .

Yes they lost with some of their best kids not in attendance.

If you think S.A. is the best player on L.I. you need your head examined. She is the best player on a weak high school team. and not even the best player on her T.G. tam. E.B. , J.S., L.R., aAre all better players and they played on the same T.G. team. I.M. , S.P. and N.O. are better Yellow Jackets. L.R. K.D. and C.C are all better from Liberty

While I tend to agree in terms of team play and making the kids around her better Tg still has a kid that as of now is the best . So this debate comes down to preference, what kind of player do you like as they are opposite ends of the spectrum. One is the strongest take it to the rim style, can bull her way through multiple defenders and put a shot on goal or draw a foul. Very strong isolation player but very one dimensional. The other has wicked field awareness, game sense, stick skills, ball movement, passes, make everyone around her better, etc..... Teams have to commit to one style of play or the other for either to thrive.
