Nice job guys. Someone upset that their son isnt a Carb. Sorry only for the elite players, not wanta bees What in the Boys Latin education is that? It is not as bad as people say, as a bunch of students who were rejected by Gilman go there . They help with test scores. This is probably an unwanted topic here, but a lot of great young men were rejected by almost all of the MIAA-A schools for the 2028s, it caused quite a stir in the Towson Laxosphere. In all seriousness, I bet BL and John Carroll got in on the Rejection Party this past spring as well. St. Mary's is probably the last "come one, come all" MIAA-A school. Feel bad for the people whose son couldn't get in to a MIAA A school . Cant think of a worst faith. First thing Baltimore people ask you is what school your son goes to. If not a MIAA A school, not something most MIAA A parents can get pass, you dont belong in same company. I hope your parents didn’t spend money on sending you to a private school, your grammar is somewhere below elite level. Now, as for your critique of my grammar, I’m truly grateful. Nothing screams “elite” quite like taking the time to nitpick a casual remark on the internet. Clearly, the bar for meaningful engagement has been set at correcting typos rather than addressing the actual point. I sincerely hope you didn’t attend a private school, because if this is the best your tuition money could produce in terms of wit or depth, someone got shortchanged. You must be one of those classic Baltimorean's whose first questions are, “What school does your child go to?” “Where do you live?” and “What do you do?” All great talking points from someone clinging to elitist status symbols as if they mean anything in the real world. Bravo Please feel free to critique.

No doubt CT has some of top talent in 2028. But perhaps partly can be explained by dilution of talent. In top 25, there are 3 CT teams. But there 5 are MD/DMV teams. BTW 3 Philly teams, 2 LI teams, 2 NJ teams, 2 Boston. The rest are national or only team in one area. Top 25 is an arbitrary number. If I choose another arbitrary number like 13, there are ZERO teams from MD or LI. 3 teams from CT and 2 from NJ. Yes, these are based on fall results which you can't take too seriously . . . but they are consistent with trends. And if you look at the 4 grades below the 2028s (29's thru 32's), there's only 3 total teams in the top 10. Looks like the new age restrictions are impacting the MD clubs' ability to compete at the top levels. Are the age restrictions still a thing? My 2028 is my youngest and we're not going to reclass regardless so I admittedly haven't been paying much attention, but I thought I'd heard that tourney organizers and even HOCO were already backsliding on age restrictions.

Yes. The people who ask what school you go to are usually nouveau rich or just middle class. It's the first time they ever paid for tuition and want to let you know. It's a big deal to them. They are the same parents who chose a kid's school by the cheapest tuition price. People like us, with real money, don't concern ourselves with such minutiae.

We weren't talking "DMV". We were talking MD vs NJ/CT. What happened to all of the reclass talent that was going to FCA and Crabs? What happened to all of the talent that was leaving Madlax for Next Level? All are now irrelevant when discussing the top teams in the country. Hawks will likely return to the top 10, but gone are the days that they are challenging for the top team in the country. New age restrictions? Playing for national teams instead? What's the explanation?

How about the all star teams and others where the team isn't just holdbacks, but many of the active roster are currently 2027's and are "planning" to holdback or post grad. The point of a division is to play against your peers for the ability to play against like teams and for evaluation. Just say their name: Hilltoppers. I had never even heard of this insane idea of "planning to hold back, so he's gonna play back now, in advance of that future, maybe, decision to hold back" until we played a series of tourneys in CT and MA and the parents were yapping all about it. That's one reason I LOL every time the NY dads pop up with their "Maryland holdback" comments. We see you guys. We know your kid is in 10th grade and playing on a 9th grade team.

Looks like the new age restrictions are impacting the MD clubs' ability to compete at the top levels. Philly, MD, and LI will suffer most, but at least the star 2028 players from our region all have their drivers licenses/permits now. I mean it also has something to do with the fact that CT has the nation's most respected prep/PG boarding school programs for lacrosse. Will Hawks be having (or did they have) a coaching change? Hawks should build a Northern Virginia team. With their name, people would jump from the usual 3 in the DMV. To think that the Hawks could do what Crabs failed miserably at doing is naive. Madlax and Next Level (and DCE 9th grade and up) have a stranglehold on the DMV for the 50-60 elite players in each grade. Lot of teams have tried, they just can’t crack the nut. Another example of trying to put a stake in the ground is Red Hots MD. That one is doomed as well. Too many solid incumbents in the Baltimore/Annap corridor Crabs organization put zero effort into VLC, and the partnership arguably made VLC a worse experience, not better. Regardless, it's too late to start a meaningful new 2028 team at this point - kids who are serious aren't going to move to a start-up with no history once high school has started - and I don't know that anyone could've done better than the very middling results True has had in NOVA at this age group. I mean how many times do we have to see Crabs, Madlax, True and other clubs do the exact same thing(s) they always do, over and over again, and then be all shocked about it. Crabs only takes on more teams to make money and aggregate more talent to their AA team. If they don't get high level talent to move to the Crabs AA team, they stop investing in the team, coaches, etc. Ie how much has anybody heard about the Crabs 2028 B team this fall.

Clippers bringing in out-of-towners for fall tournaments...smart...gotta keep up with all the other teams. The guys who run and coach Clippers are the same guys who run and coach Team Eighteen, out of the exact same office. The rosters already intersect about 50%, I would absolutely anticipate that Clippers will always bring in bench strength from their national players who are willing to fly east for the weekend. And honestly, so what? This is what 91, Crabs, Madlax, True National...heck EVERY national team...do in High School. How many CT boarding school kids need to be on MD rosters, never showing up to practice, for you guys to realize that this was ALWAYS gonna be the final product. "We develop elite players" lol.

To the rankings obsessed Dad from out of state attempting to troll:
My son is a 2028 and now that high school has started - his level of care about club lacrosse has plummeted to about a 2/10. Once summer gets here I’m sure that will change.
Still loves his team and teammates but it’s a complete afterthought with the real lacrosse about to kick off.
