Coaching change for massapequa girls program? Any word about the incoming coach?? Only heard he is young and a YJ coach.

I heard the Jesters Director was in the mix to be the coach.

Massapequa only takes in district personnel. Applicants must be a teacher at one of their schools. It’s a crying shame. Parents need to scream to the BOE until they decide they want to help their student athletes win a Chip and get recruited to the top schools. Class of 2023 did it themselves based on their own talent. They coached themselves and their Club teams got them recruited.
Pequa girls will struggle in the coming years without hiring better coaching staff

Parents who have watched every game their daughter has ever played are in for a real shock when games are being played on the west coast and they cant attend anymore

Our daughter plays on the west coast and we haven’t missed a game in 2 years and do not plan on missing any the next 2 years!

All teams travel, and many West Coast teams play half their games on the East Coast. If your daughter has the chance to go to Northwestern,Notre Dame, Michigan, Duke, USC, Stanford, Florida, Vanderbilt, are you really saying no because it’s too far?? 3-5 hours in a car or plane to see most games. Gibberish!

Why did manhasset girls varsity let their coach go?

Bizarre situation at SA’s. They bring in a quality coach for varsity but also brought the owners and staff from LILJ who also run all these coaching showcases. Last year they had that 2 Wolves guy and it didn’t work out to well.

Who will be the teams to watch in Suffolk. Any surprise teams either looking like they will do better this year or teams that are always good that will not be that good this year.

They should have for the last four years. Change at coach should get them where they belong.

Is this comment for the st ant or manhasset coach comments?

Apparently parents believed he was favoring players who trained with him over more deserving and better players who didn’t train with him. Same situation may happen with LILJ staff.

Agreed what have Lilj coaches coached, oh that’s right they coached flg into the ground.

Saint Anthony’s has the worst coaching staff alive. They pick favorites and never play anyone who deserves to play. Coaches are very evil and COLD. They are first years who don’t know what they are doing. They need to be fired and people fresh to saint Anthony’s should come in and coach. There strategies make absolute no sense.

Get the new coaches of saint Anthony’s out.

Coaches don’t need to be warm and cuddly. They have a job to evaluate the personnel and play the best players according to their coaching philosophy. New varsity HC knows her stuff and CS has been there for a few years. But “coaches” who don’t have any track record with successful programs or are connected directly to outside interests (pay for play showcases) should not be on staff at SA’s or any other HS unless there are no other viable options and alternatives.

Agreed Head coaches know there stuff.. LILJ asst. is a Rat, weasel, like his father. Been pumping no talent players from rich parents in Manhasset.

BBP run is over.....chemistry no good after graduating last years group. Sayville and SWR will be top teams

That comment is objectionable. There are many talented players still within their program, and it also was a springboard for many other talented players, who got their early fundamentals within their program, and then left for better situations. I don’t know them personally, but attacking peoples characters is unacceptable. But, they and others like them who have pay for play events should not be affiliated with High school programs let alone high school programs where the competition is fierce.

Wishful thinking... how's the weather in fantasy land?

Saint Anthony’s new head coach has no idea what she is doing. She was the assistant JV coach and is now the head coach of the top program in the country. She is cold.

Be better. Not cool to take others down. Wishing the SA Varsity team all the success under the new leadership! New leadership has tremendous experience and passion, my child is inspired and motivated by this coach daily.

Darcy Messina is a great coach and former All American Lacrosse player. Please respect her and give her credit for the great job she is doing in such a short time instead of being mean to her.
