91 always uses kids will move to them. Maybe develop what you have. No one is going to 91, they are on way down.

BTB 2033 Renegades beat a good ECE team in the championship game to win the Fall Brawl at Heckscher state park.

Looks like Igloo, 91, Rebels, Legacy and Shore2Shore will make up the top tier at the age, BTB, close, B teams tier, True Blue, Recon, Jesters, Turtles. Think 91 most talented among top teams and True Blue some upside in B tier

Cut it out. 91 best team by far. Rebels are decent, but the best players from CSH will move to 91 in the next couple of seasons. Igloo, Legacy, and Shore are second-tier. Igloo is a decent "C" Team

Yea Igloo and Legacy not really top teams at that age group. Rebels and BTB both beat Igloo handily at Penguin Invitational yesterday. And Legacy got beat up bad by all 3.
Top teams 91 Rebels BTB
Next teir Shore 2 Shore Igloo
Next tier Legacy Jesters True blue And everyone else.

AA - Rebels and 91 A - BTB, Shore B - Legacy and Igloo C - True Blue, Igloo B, Jesters and Express

Rebels already use kraken and CSH and whatever other kids they can pull together for tourneys. Don’t get how parents there can be happy watching them pull kids and their kids sit on bench all tourney.

This was actually a pretty good tourney. Rebels Kraken on top BTB Renegades right behind them then Shore to Shore and igloo a slight step down.
Rest of the tourney teams 7 were all in B division. What other teams or tourneys are there that are better for this age?

I don't think folks are speaking down on kids, I think folks are speaking up to other parents who come on here and pump their team's tires unnecessarily. As most threads on here will explain, all roads lead to 91 and Express on Long Island. Nitro is already a clear leader in this group, express will recruit come 8th grade. yes a long way from here, but it's something people need to come to terms with in the next few years.

Nitro and Kraken have played once since October. Nitro won 8-4, so that's not such a clear and dominant W, at least not the normal 91 thrashing that you would expect given all this hype. I'm sure both teams have some new players now, and perhaps they are both better, maybe not. One thing is for sure though, that they need to play again. The one thing that changes all that "leaving your team" hype and expectation is winning and being comfortable with the players you suit up with, putting egos aside. 91 is built on ego and people are starting to see through that.

What 91 team under 29 ages has got better last couple years. Maybe 30's all others opposite direction. Express is really Bad at 34 33 32 So explain why parents will bring kids there. Times change, reputation for past success means NOTHING.

I haven't seen 91 Nitro in any tournaments yet only the 91 B team in a few. Where did Kraken and Nitro play? It is surpising how low the Express teams are right now at all these young age groups. The parity is great right now but yes it will be interesting to see if all these top kids on all these teams migrate to 91 and express or stay put over the years.

Times change, reputation for past success means NOTHING. The times don’t change. The places where elite talent comes from has. Neither of those clubs or any other on LI can make an elite team of all LI players. Too many kids playing across the country now. Both of those clubs, at the high school years (when it matters) will be loaded with out of state players and any of the can’t miss LI players and competing with the other best teams in the country. The other clubs will still be the other clubs. And your buddy who pounds his chest about his kid playing for 91 or Express in 3rd and 4th grade is likely to not have his kid in either organization by 10th.

91 is top in most of those age groups and year over year get better, so your argument is essentially a load of @ChillLaxin.
2029 - 91 Chaos - Most likely top LI team in WS, prob lose to eclipse in the final 2030 - 91 Cyclones - Top 1/2 teams in the country 2031 - 91 Titans - Worst team in the history of 91, need new coaching staff 2032 - 91 Valor - def in the top 2/3 teams in LI, will get better next year 2033 - 91 Nitro - Top team in LI
And for the record, Express doesnt care about teams below 7th grade, money from younger teams supports older teams

I don't think any 33 team has played Nitro yet bc they haven't entered any tourneys. It's like they're scared to enter a 33 tourney and get a loss. It's 3rd grade lacrosse, kids must be having a ball of fun on that team I think they played in one tourney 32 bracket and lost.

Nitro hasn't lost to a LI Team, so not sure why these Rebels people keep saying they are the best. Doesn't matter, just don't understand the constant cheerleading for Rebels teams. Rebels is a good program, especially for developing young talent, but the program runs its course by 7th grade, at which point the better players leave to position themselves for HS and College. Simple fact, and not taking anything away from the Rebels

The only team close to Nitro is CSH/Rebels, and the good players on that team will move to Nitro next season. Nitro is still the best team on LI by far. They are so good they don't have to play on age and should play up. Name a worthy opponent their age.

91 nitro might be the best but no one knows because they don't play anyone. They should play Rebels Kraken, Rebels Seahawks and BTB Renegades. Until they actually start playing them it's all talk by 91.
Gotta love 91's strategy though we might not be the best but will just take all your best players so we can become the best.

Exactly they just rely on the 91 name and give more free scholarships to all the players then other teams. Then all the money from the b and c team players offset it to pay for the A team.

Totally False!
Every organization has a magic number of paid players they need to hit for profitability regardless of A, B or C. The people chirping that A teams have all these kids playing for free are the same people that think every kid heading to D1 schools are getting full athletic scholarships.
Focus on your own kid. Find a place your player/family are happy and enjoy the ride. It’ll be over before you know it.
Signed, Someone with experience

This is 2033 and there is very little experience from parents within this age group, especially Rebels Parents. The landscape will change and it will change fast. Rebels won't be the same or good come 7th grade. Teams/Clubs don't give scholarships, most have coaches kids who play for free, and rightfully so as they volunteer their time, good or bad, most put forth dedication and commitment, so they deserve it. The rest of the team pays full boat and nobody in their right mind thinks they are getting D1 scholarships.

Incorrect, 5 or 6 years ago probably. Once Spallina’s kids aged out the program hasn’t been the same and it will never be the same. Only thing keeping Express afloat is the Catholic connection. The glory days are over. That’s why you see Express struggle at younger ages and 91 has dropped off a ton. So many opportunities these days for kids , national teams, showcases, etc.

Everyone wants to tryout 3 days in the July heat to make a team that has already been recruited behind the scenes? The recruited players show up 1 day out of the 3 and many of the current players that are comfortable with their spot on the team go on vacation and don’t show up. Have fun at tryouts!

High-end D1/Ivy Commits from 91 Shock - 11 High-end D1/Ivy Commits from Rebels - 0
Mid-level D1 from 91 - 5 Mid-level D1 from Rebels - 0
Low-end D1 from 91 - 3 Low-end D1 from Rebels - 2

Nobody is talking about the power that your seniors have this year, but those who will be seniors in 30, 31, 32, 33, etc.

Let us allow the facts to do the talking:
High-end D1/Ivy Commits from 91 Shock - 11 High-end D1/Ivy Commits from Rebels - 0
Mid-level D1 from 91 - 5 Mid-level D1 from Rebels - 0
Low-end D1 from 91 - 3 Low-end D1 from Rebels - 2
I think this conversation just ended Rebels have over 10 D1 commits in 2025 class, including some top schools like Maryland, and 91 was better at 2025 and has reclasses from all over country, not proving much of a point especially using made up numbers.

Not a good showing for 91! Team 91 Nitro went 0-5 at NLF all blow outs. Guess not as good as they thought. Might wanna stop trying to play up. 91 Valor 1-4 only win was second day against 91 Nitro 😳 91 LI Nitro was very impressive at NLF. 2033s taking on 32s and doing very well despite huge size differences. They moved the ball well and had good lax IQ for such young ages. Congrats for what will be a tough team. This comment from a coach but not connected to the team or even the state.

Gotta love Rebels parents, clueless. 91 leaves LI because the comp is much better. Valor and Nitro are still 10 times better than their respective rebels teams. Valor beat Rebels Archers by 1 goal in a consolation match in Delaware. Yup, 10x better. You guys that say the Rebel parent and fan base inflate their kids heads need to look in the mirror a bit closer. All of that marching and flag waving like your boys served in the armed forces got them a 1 goal win over a team that you're "10 times better than".

Saw some real good lacrosse today from this age group.
Stealth 1 seed 3-0 Crabs 2 seed 3-0 BTB 3 seed 3-0 Rebels Kraken 4 seed 2-1
Any of those 4 teams can win championship tomorrow!
Nitro left out 2-1 😂 a lot of talking for that team.

Stealth takes the championship with wins over Kraken (11-10 in OT) and Crabs (8-7). Would rank 91 Nitro as the fourth best team in this tournament. Stealth, Kraken and Crabs looked better. BTB was the fourth playoff team, but likely 91 Nitro wins a head to head matchup.

Rebels need work, sloppy play vs Stealth Yup. Sloppy 11-10 loss to quite possibly the best 33 club team on the east coast in Stealth. Scored a sloppy 52 goals in 5 games. Lost 2 games by a grand total of 2 goals. You gotta come with a better comment than that.

In 2033 these kids can barely catch and throw, not sure how or why parents are blasting teams. I understand, and by the looks of most boards, the Rebels parents def cheerlead, and that is super annoying, but let's relax regarding 3rd graders. Parents should ask, did we play well, and refrain from counting wins and losses. Nobody remembers Tri-Star from 3rd grade!

Rebels aren't good, we saw this with Rebels Aces and Stealth, decent at the younger age groups, and then dismantled because there is no development and the coaching is poor. This 33 team will have the same results, best players are already leaving for 91. Harsh reality and wake-up call coming.

91 Nitro beat both the Rebels (Kraken and Seahawks) teams pretty good this weekend only 3 teams in that tourney rest all B teams. BTB Renegades came in 2nd place down in a Maryland tourney lost to the Crabs in Championship game.
Next tier of teams all played in a fairly weak Connecticut tourney Igloo tight wins final one over Orange Crush by 1 goal. Shore 2 Shore went 0-5 even lost to 91's b team not a good look.

At the Penguin Igloo tournament Kraken and BTB both beat Igloo. At Spring Jam Kraken and BTB again both beat Igloo. It’s pretty clear. Don’t even have to go common opponents but if so Tri Star kraken and BTB both played top teams (crabs, stealth to competitive games. 1 goal losses to Stealth and Crabs Igloo was blown out by that level of teams. Kraken head to head with BTB has beaten them so have them over.
Towerman same thing at Tristar they went 1-4 blown out by stealth and 91 and even lost to Express North who BTB beat. Towerman Only a 1 goal win over BBL. BTB and Kraken both smoked BBL and both teams made it to playoff bracket. Lost to Crabs and Stealth.
Orange Crush no top wins might even have Express North at 10 over them at 10.

You have a point that Rebel Kraken's record was comparable to Igloo and BTB Renegades and I would make that a 3-way tie. But none have wins of any kind over those above them on here. Towerman, although having significant losses earlier, did manage one big win against Next Level, so is a small step above at this point. These are just snapshots on what we hope is a long development process for all boys and teams. But it is good to give informed recognition where recognition is due.

Not a Rebels parent and I think you’re right about them prob dismantling in a year two. Gotta give them credit it might be short lived but atleast for this year. I didn’t realize Towerman does have one big win. But rebels and BTB both beating Igloo multiple times and Igloo no significant wins, can’t have Igloo above them two. Looking forward to end of summer tourneys and next year see who continues to develop and who loses players and takes a step down. All in all a very strong group of teams for 2033!

Only team on that list that they have struggled with on multiple occasions is Nitro, who I'd definitely put in the top 5. The Kraken are a top 10, definitely, and most definitely above BTB, Towermen and Igloo who I'd leave off the list to be honest. The talent is really so deep at this level, it's been a pleasure to watch so many of these teams battle it out this spring and early summer!

I corrected my post in that there really isn't anything separating Rebel Kraken w Igloo and Orange Crush (and don't rank BTB at this point). Other teams have wins that Kraken doesn't have. All pretty even. Good losses are just better than bad losses and show that possibly, w more training and/or talent, they are striking range of expecting a win against the other teams. Fall is fun but doesn't count when it comes to complete teams during lax season and the point of the post is to recognize development. And Towermen have that big win (even if they probably couldn't have replicated it in the championship) that Kraken doesn't yet have.

I’ve seen the comments and people’s views. By your argument what win does igloo have? They’ve lost to Kraken 1x and they’ve lost to BTB 2x they’ve never beaten either of them or any top tier team. There is no way they are a top 10 team at this point when you’re consistently losing to teams barely in the top 10. Orange Crush is the same as Igloo no significant win good record against 2nd tier teams.
1. Mad Lax Capital 2. Next Level Blue 3. Annapolis Hawks 4. Stealth Black Ops 5. Crabs 6. Nitro 7. Sweetlax Upstate 8. Rebels Kraken 9. BTB Renegades 10. Towerman
Orange Crush and Express North next two teams on fringe. Towerman prob ranked to high. Nitro I can see creeping towards top.
Looking forward to upcoming tourneys and next season and getting a larger pool of games to see how it starts to shake out.

Sweetlax Fl is a tournament team, practicing before tournaments with kids from other club teams, from Stealth to Jaws, 5 hours apart, and in later years especially, featuring out-of-state recruits. I recognized its accomplishments but not on the club rankings.

91 Nitro, BTB, Igloo, Express North all are at The Gauntlet this weekend that should be good.

The Gauntlet in Connecticut should be a really good tourney with some top 33 teams! Can get some clarification on who rises to the top. Eclipse, BTB Renegades, LI Express, 4 Leaf, Team 91 Nitro, Igloo and Express North. Silly that ML and Hawks are playing at a Hershey tourney aged up. These top teams need to link up better and get to the same tourneys and get these elite matchups rolling.

Are we really talking about the Top 10 at 2033. Too young and things change fast. When the rankings are released for this age group in 2-3 years, there is one guarantee, the Rebels won’t be top 10.

Rebels teams get better each and every year. They are here for the long haul, like it or not. To many Rebels haters out here and I know it’s only a couple guys talking to each other on these posts but impressive what the Rebels have built in a few years. There college commits are super impressive from the caliber of players they have had (I coaches a couple of them, and very thrilled I sent them there way) . Just wait for when there young groups age up, there will be no more excuses for people. Long Island found its power 6 with 91, express, legacy, shore, igloo, rebels.

Kraken won Big Time championship for 2033. They beat Sweetlax Florida (7 to 5) in semi and Sweetlax Upstate (7 to 3) in champ game.

They beat Kracken 15-0 at NAL and then lose them 2x over the weekend, I get that these are 9-10 year olds but that's quite the turn around in a week. Hopefully Sweetlax FL parents behaved at this one.

Rebels went undefeated at Big Time; looked great vs an awesome Sweetlax Florida team (Stealth Black Ops Clone), beating them twice in 2 days. Tied Sweetlax Upstate 7-7 in game #1 on Saturday then picked them apart in the championship on Sunday.

FL was missing nobody, Kraken just played very bad lacrosse at NAL pretty much all-around but still managed to hang around with MadLax and Upstate at that time. Things got back to normal this weekend. Never had any problems with the Sweetlax FL parents; they were gracious in defeat, Upstate not so much.

Why doesn’t Long Island setup a league like Maryland does the hoco league especially for the younger ages. (91,express,legacy,rebels,btb,shore2shore,igloo etc) It seems to really help those Maryland teams be ready for tourney time.

Most clubs do not want that to happen here. You don't know what you are talking about. MD has the MYLL for rec and rec based club teams. Rec based club teams and other second tier club teams fill out the A and AA divisons in Hoco while the bigger established club programs fill out AAA and Elite in Hoco. MD has something for everyone.

After July 4th, the season is done for top local club teams and only national, all star and recruiting teams continue playing. Not certain what this tourney is trying to do. At this point, many kids who aren't on a national team are being recruited to play w other teams. I bet Krakens and Sweetlax Fl had entire rosters different as SL had good kids playing for Nationals, Nations Best 3D, others and Krakens picked up some kids from other clubs that had ended their season.

I'm not sure you have any idea what you're talking about. Do you have boys on any of these teams? If not then just stop making assumptions about rosters. 95% of the Kraken roster has been the same since the fall. Your statement about the post season holds no weight either. Dozens of "top" local club teams were playing all along the east coast on Sat-Sun.

On July 7, at Lax Blast, NY, Rebels 2033 goes 0-4 with losses of 11-4 & 12-2 I don’t think that is Kracken, Kracken played and won the big time shootout on 7/6-7/7. Must be some Rebels b team that played lax blast. ML won another event, playing in the 32 bracket, beating ‘33 Hawks and ‘32 Mooselax.

They'll be battling with Nitro for LI dominance for years to come. These boys are going into 4th grade doing stuff that most of us couldn't do until we were much older. Let's all have fun watching them grow as players and people!

it looks like all club lacrosse really starts at 3rd and 4th grade... what is the difference in younger "teams?" igloo k-2 clinic team? rebels rising rebels? are these just farm systems to grab money and just take whoever is "ready" to play in a couple tournaments? legacy and 91 and express also have younger "teams"
