What are you referring to? Tag your comment you want too quote. Learn how to use the forum correctly. All you do if make it confusing.
I did tag the quote, but it didn’t pick it up. Regardless, clearly I’m referring to anyone who would choose to play second goalie on m&d black. They will get zero playing time. Looks like m&d suckered someone into paying club fees to wear a jersey on the sidelines. No college scout will ever see them play and the highlight reel will be from practice. But hey! They can sport a new sticker on their SUV!
100%!! Or the mean girls will make it so miserable.. she will leave. I give it a couple of months and once again the Black M and D goalie will be the only goalie. MG won’t stop the bully behavior.

She went from Integrity to LBC to M&D black, seems like an upgrade to me. I'm sure she is aware PT may not be 50/50, end of day, she plays with and on a top team. Maybe the other goalie will try to help her?

Went from MDU left mid season because she didn’t get 50/50 play time. Then went to Integrity left mid season because she wasn’t getting 50/50 playtime and threw a temper tantrum and told her coach and teammates to F off. LBC took her to play with the 25’s. Here they are at M&D. Will it last? Prior history of leaving mid season I am saying it’s a high chance she leaves.

That could not be more false- A little bitter you lost your best goalies? Both left you for a reason Integrity coach
And now look, half the team followed

I was under the impression that in High School age tournaments, teams had to have equal playing time? Is this not the case?

No. A few teams say they will allow enough time for a player to showcase themselves, but teams like m&d play to win and leave second string showcasing on the pine. Not sure why anyone would agree to be backup goalie to the “golden child” player.

This is not correct. M&D policy for HS teams is that in showcase events(no playoffs) all players on roster play at least half of each game. Other clubs do not follow this but M&D does. MG stuck to it with her 2021 team and has to with her 2026 team as well. SR mandates it.

This is correct. MGs 2021 team had a goalie that never even got recruited to play in college and she played a half in every game of every showcase tournament.

How good will MDU be? Betting they are a top 15 team by this time next year. All the girls Integrity begged and offered free scholarships to stayed at MDU, they got good talent from Baltimore clubs, and two great goalies. They are baaaack!!

I never watched 22 M&D Red but Katie Lettinga the 22 Black coach cared deeply for the girls and made sure all of them received the proper playing time for college exposure. It was as equal as possible. Please don’t throw something out there that is simply not true.

My daughter played on 22 Red...it absolutely happened on 22 Red (and there was a WIDE gap between #1 and #2 goalie).

That's exciting and good for the area in general. MDU 2026 was the lowest performing team in the club by far.

Along with a coach that should have been replaced years ago. If they had replaced her, some of the top talent that had left the last few years may have stayed. But w the new roster- they will be back to crushing teams

Why would so many good players switch to a team on a losing streak?

Im assuming due mostly to the coaching change, and the high reputation of the club.

If you parents really think these girls are "friends", when they are constantly fighting to prove themselves over another, talking about Sally's bad play today, are shuffled around from team to team because they aren't "good enough" or they aren't getting enough play time, constantly being judged by others, and deep down incredibly insecure. You're crazy!! Most of them are fighting to keep their spot and aren't true friends. They are the first ones to shun each other when they aren't on the same team or they have a new clique.

ALL of these girls are incredibly talented!! I wish the coaches would develop them all as they deserve.

What kind of confident and kind women will we have when lacrosse world is over and real world starts.

Be kind people...

Many of these girls are friends and they are devastated when their friends are cut. Maybe your daughter and her friends judge one another but we have not had that experience. Most of these girls are close enough where they can talk about having a bad game and boost each other up for the next one. My daughter talks to her friends who play for other teams at tournaments at their team tents. No issues.

These girls are in high school now and there are tryouts for a reason. You can't blame the coaches for everything. There is a difference between girls that put in the extra time outside of practice and those who don't.

These girls need to learn that world isn't always fair and the real world has already started.

You have no idea! MDU will have you believe they produce big time players. They don’t! The top 3 in MD sent out the top kids in state and prepare them by playing the best teams each weekend. Nothing wrong with D3 at all. Just kids playing club aren’t playing to get to a D3 in Md ! It’s a shame too!

Who said they had a top ten player? Some guy who obviously doesn’t pay attention to club lacrosse (yet posts on this page) couldn’t figure out if MDU has one team playing in A bracket. Lol.

I have no idea if the 2026 team can turn things around, but someone has a hard time understanding the difference between a team and a club.

These girls have a lot of growing and changing to do in the next 4 years both mentally and physically. So for you all to talk about rankings at this age and D1 recruitment is ridiculous! It is clear by the chest thumping by many of you on here that you either never played a sport and are living vicariously through your child or you never played in college. Because if you did either of these you would know what it’s like to be an athlete and encourage your child to be a team player, encourage them to be their best and that it’s up to the child if they are willing to fight for a position or playing time not jumping teams mid year or after 1 year. If your team is getting beat, lead your team not bash it.

MDU has been around for about 15 years with over 250+ players committing to D-1 schools and their East teams have always played in top brackets in tournaments. They are the 4th best (ranked) club in Maryland behind M&D, Heros, and Skywalkers. Disgruntled dad needs to do some research before he rants because his daughter got cut.

Name one MDU team that plays in the A bracket?

2022 was Top-10 nationally
2027 Top 12 nationally
2028 Top 5 nationally
2029 NGLL playoffs every year
2030 NGLL finalists both years, lax for cure champions

2022? Do tell where they were ranked? How many players from that team ranked in the top 10? Heck the top 20?

9th

Who said they had a top ten player? Some guy who obviously doesn’t pay attention to club lacrosse (yet posts on this page) couldn’t figure out if MDU has one team playing in A bracket. Lol.

I have no idea if the 2026 team can turn things around, but someone has a hard time understanding the difference between a team and a club.

Top 3
Second teams at top 3

(Huge gap)

Md United
Integrity
Coppermine.

Terrible is a bit strong here. Since this is a 26 forum, SW 26 beat MDU 17-4 at their last game. Other middle school ages are also not terrible but not as strong as high school. Also, does it matter how strong they are at the younger ages? Since recruiting is the goal, not sure how much it matters if you are the best 6th grade team.

Because the 6th graders on Skywalkers now aren’t the Skywalkers players in four years when it matters.

Nearly all clubs around here have teams from 3rd grade through 11th grad, like it or not, it’s all part of the club.

I would imagine there’s some correlation between a team being successful young and future success.
