There are multiple brackets where this is the case.

I don’t have a word for it but they split the best teams into different brackets so they can win the bracket and all play in the championship? That’s if the tourney has a champ round. Is this what you were asking?

Really? One bracket, for example, has the #1, #4, #50 and #132 teams. And it's just one of many with that kind of discrepancy.

It's a showcase tournament. 3 games and done.

It’s a showcase. This is probably a good thing for the lower ranked team, and also the bottom third of the higher ranked team’s roster

My daughter is on a lower ranked team...trust me it's no fun for anyone to play against a team that is much higher ranked. The bottom end of a highly ranked team is still much better than a much lower ranked team. It shouldn't be too difficult for tournament directors to match teams up that are at least somewhat similar in ability.

Hey your getting exposure by playing the good teams. No complaints. My D played some of her best games against top teams and got noticed from doing so.

It’s not fun or fair to put much lower ranked teams in to get beat on just to “showcase” the players on the higher ranked team. Wouldn’t the college coach’s prefer to see evenly matched games to get a real feel of the players abilities?

I believe the OP was referring to Prime Time.

Lax for the cure has some good brackets and then 2 weak ones with steps blue and yj weiner in them so Chuck and his buddy Carol can make the playoffs for sure. Playoffs matchups are slanted too until he has no choice.

Fall lax for the cure is one day showcase.

It's a showcase...no playoffs...

Yea this dudes list is way off. The original version is a more accurate representations but leaves off liberty which is too 5 and elevate should be in bottom 5.

You really think it will change that much at this age. No major movement - doesn’t really matter anymore- the work has been put in over the last few years. The rankings will help with placement in tourney brackets

Missing Liberty. They belong in the top 5, drop Jesters down to top ten, not five.

Elevate should be around 10. I’d put jesters around wherever you put Kildare.

Massive change? How so? Internal change with players moving from A to B teams and vice versa or external change with players moving from other clubs?

Elevate lost many of their best 24’ girls! It has One team now , mostly B players. They probably are more like the bottom 3 !

Most elevate kids moved to liberty, jesters black, and YJ Kildare. Also, didn't jesters just beat Kildare?

Think you are missing the point of this discussion

This is pretty accurate though I might knock Elevate off the list completely as over the last two years their top 10 players have all left for other clubs. Empire should be above FLG as they have a decent team

This old list is completely inaccurate. Empire lost their goalie and a solid attacker to jesters. They will likely be back at the bottom. I think top guns and jesters move up, elevate empire 91 all stay bottom three, flg a tier ahead & libert, Weiner, and legacy stay too 3

Agree w/most, using any kind of ranking based on last season is most definitely inaccurate. So much movement in the off season.

Remember this is simply based off of any type of Fall ball and recent acquisitions/departures on field and staff. Don’t stress too much about any of this parents. A lot of lacrosse to be played. After Weiner, top 5 teams are similar in skill set and club offerings (Training, Recruiting Capabilities, Showcases attending etc)
