VLC parent here..... was so happy watching the joy in my son and his teammates following their win, at the same time, watching the Hawks walk off the field with tears in their eyes made me feel for them. People need to chill when criticizing 13 year old boys playing a sport they love with teammates they love. Great game Hawks VLC is a class organization. Hawks could take some lessons. Not a Hawks fan here and this comment may be a stretch. VLC seems to have its dark side as well. Please do tell...🍿 It is nice to see the Hawks (and their coach, and their dads) lose. I can't say that I have seen a "dark side" to VLC; but, the sham existence of Black Ops may be what people criticize them for. But when you see other teams getting new players (players getting jerseys in the parking lot and kids "re-classing" that day after plating in the 25 teams game) for playoffs in HoCo; it seems par for the course. Kids need to learn to lose, so that they can bounce back and succeed in life. The Hawks' dads, at least the ones who post here are just classless arrogant buffoons. To derive pleasure form your child's success is appropriate. To think it appropriate to mock kids on every other team, as Hawks' dads frequently do (in this forum and at the field) is contemptible. But they are following their leader. And they do win a lot at the cost of their dignity. All teams played well,,,,nice work

1. Express 2. Sweetlax 3. Tigers 4. Black Ops 5. Hawks 6. Stealth 7. MadDog N 8. BBL 9. Towerman 10. Crabs
There is virtually zero margin in spots 2-10, any one of those teams could beat the other on any given day. Your number 9 beat your number 8 a lot to a little yesterday.

1. Express. 2. Tigers 3. Blackops (beat hawks) 4. Sweetlax (stings but 0-6 vs Express) 5. Hawks (lost to VLC, Stealth, Tigers, Edge, LXC) 6. LXC 7. Towermen 8. Crabs then bumkiss nada zero after Sweetlax clearly second only to express at WSYL. That should have been the final two teams. After them it should be Tigers, Black Ops, Towermen. Wierd. You take a 4th grade loss to laxachusetts and a 6th grade loss to Canada into account for the Hawks, but not their win over Rxpress 3 weeks ago and their win over Tigera at the qualifier. Oh, and they haven't lost to sweetlax either.

These attempts at rankings are such a waste of time. The post earlier that teams can and will beat each other on any given day has played out pretty clearly this summer. Big props to Express for winning WSYL and for the Tigers handling their business to get to the finals. Most of the games were battles with great lacrosse. I expect that to continue to be the case at NLF. Whoever is “#1” is going to have to work like heck to stay there and those trying to dethrone will need to work like heck to do it. Having parity is good for our sons and great for the immediate future of the game. Good luck to everyone the rest of the summer.

FACTS BlackOps may come back as DC Express. Most kids will return. If this was a serious board I would say this shows what many have said before: no one cares how your 6th/7th graders play. There is a lot of development left and focus on sportsmanship. The top 10 teams are very close anyone can beat anyone at any time. there will be many changes to the kids skill level, size and intensity

We are here to stay and grow better, Don’t know how, unless DCE folds and becomes BlackOps, which is possible. Megill’s have been rumored to be selling, so maybe that is the path. If not, all those kids go back to their home clubs to play.

FACTS 1. Hawks still best team easily in DMV 2. black ops is a joke and is non existent as of today 3. Crabs will add more holdbacks 4. Hawks win HOCO in 2022 despite crabs holdbacks FACTS So what is the deal with Black Ops going forward? A - continue as a full time team under the black ops name, players leave their current teams B - recruit as many players as they can into DC Express and disband the black ops brand C - players stick with their current teams and come together to play as black ops when schedules allow

Black Ops was an all star team comprised of players from other clubs teams who didn’t have enough on age players to qualify for the World Series. According to their own rules, the World Series should not have allowed them to participate.

These attempts at rankings are such a waste of time. The post earlier that teams can and will beat each other on any given day has played out pretty clearly this summer. Big props to Express for winning WSYL and for the Tigers handling their business to get to the finals. Most of the games were battles with great lacrosse. Having parity is good for our sons and great for the immediate future of the game. Good luck to everyone the rest of the summer. The parity in the top 10 is truly impressive. Correct. At all the major tournaments it seems like Express and Tigers are battling out the final. So that is a change. And Sweetlax seems to be right there to. Hawks slow game is hurting them. Will they be able to compete with a shot clock? Seems like Blackops is now the top MD team. Seems like the top regional teams are the power houses. Express from LI, Tiger from Philly, Sweetlax from Upstate NY, and Blackops from MD. Can another emerge?

1. Express. 2. Towermen? Come on. What top team have they beaten?

If black ops stays together there will be a new #1 in DMV! How so? Bc they beat the Hwks once in OT? Thought they were staying together, the the IF? If they do stay together ... doesn't that sink 4 other teams to AA ? That makes actual Elite limited to Rage and the Hawkwards, MadLax, Crabs 2024/25 and Black Ops . The rest of the league (and possibly MadLax) just becomes cannon fodder. This is like the old Northwestern teams in the the old Big 1o football, but with less of a chance.

Make it to 1 semifinal with a team with kids from 4 or 5 clubs and people are ready to put them in the at the top? Can we at least wait til they play another tournament or 2? See how they do/if they all stay together? As mentioned earlier, if DCE were to sell, then what? There is a lot of time before any of this stuff really matters in the big picture. Things will change. Teams will get better. Get worse. Get hot. And get cold.

Just witnessed a group of Hawks parents whining about the Black-Ops Team being made up of 5 different teams. These were the same parents making fun of this team back in the early Fall and on this board. Stay Classy Hawks Parents your kids are listening. The Hawks parents have a valid point about Black Ops being an all star team. But Black Ops still was the weakest of the four semifinal teams, and the Hawks couldn't beat them. Plus, the Hawks had two other losses within the past week, and their offense relies more on one player than any top team. (except Tigers). So it is not like they were robbed of a WSYL title that they would/could/should have won. As many have said for years, without holdbacks, the 2026 Hawks are solid but nothing special.

There is not 10 Elite teams.
