Totally agree. I heard Nassau County is having theirs at a neutral site but out in Suffolk they’re not. They could have easily arranged for the game to be played in another town etc.

Well, every other year, Lax county championships are held at neutral sites. This year should be no different. Section XI being lazy and incompetent

Seaford has their day when they beat up on any football team below the 4th seed...Malverne has their day when they double up most teams in hoops. That's life...

I also remember little poor public school Manhasset beating the vaunted, hyped Long Island All-Star team Chaminade very recently. What I find ironic is that Chami and St. Anthony's REFUSE to play any school with PG's. Fair enough, but then they should hold the same righteous standard and refuse to play any public school because obviously the public schools are at such a disadvantage. Or Delbarton refusing to play Bergan, Bosco, Peter's etc. because they are too good in Football-really, but no problem beating up on Montclair? Hideous. St. Anthony's roster is about the same age as Deerfield's, Taft's etc.,

My son attends a NE Prep School and I can assure you that there isn't a roster in New York State that is, on average, the same age as any of the powerhouse NE Prep School teams...

It seems like some schools have released post season awards, All division, All county, etc. Does anyone know if there is a place to view them or is it done by the coach and the team.

St. A's has four definitive repeats that I know for a fact (there may be more) and one definitve holdback within that repeat group (there may be more), so their roster certainly WOULD compare very similarly in age profile to that of the NE Prep school that my son attends and many others.

Suffolk makes a mistake by not putting all the county finals at one place on one day, as college recruiters would love that type of event instead of picking and choosing and spending multiple nights in hotels etc.

Coach told the players this year at my sons school. Normally there is a dinner but doesn't look it is going to happen this year given the late finish to the season and school ending soon.

St Anthony's kills everyone on their schedule and then plays Chaminade for some type of Championship. Isn't that every year? Pre-COVID sprinkle in some Darien, Manhasset, GC for out of conference fun....which are usually close games...but again....St Anthony's or Chaminade for the championship. Does that sum it up? Its like two travel teams beating everyone up at some lame tournament and then playing each other for the championship. Over and over. UVA...this year's NC in D1....has a few LI public school players on the team...playing. Why the detest on LI public schools? The fact of the matter is the public schools would have a very hard time with St A or Chaminade. This year they would not be close. Much bigger size difference in terms of people at the school. Doesn't make either choice the better one. High school goes by too quickly to worry about it. Enjoy the process, enjoy the long summers up and down 95. If your kid plays after high school, great. If not, enjoy the ride...its over quickly. Manhasset very good team but I saw them play Chaminade a couple of years ago and it was like men v. boys. Chaminade had better players and way more depth. In 2019 St Anthony's won the catholic league and beat manhasset on a last secong goal

So at the beginning of the lacrosse season, there were several posters that predicted the traditional "winning" programs in Nassau would not be at the top of their conferences at the end of the season. There would be "non-traditional" teams at the top due to D-1 commits. How did that play out?

They probably would not have made semis in A and they would not have made finals in C.

Well the record doesn’t indicate that. But okay. You also predicted no. Traditional programs were going to be good because of D-1 commits. You were very wrong.

So basically the traditional lacrosse powers prevailed. The non traditional teams finished where they all do, and D-1 commits mean nothing.

Garden city displayed an absolute disgusting display of winning sportsmanship. At the GC vs comsewogue game, one of the garden city parents (#10 to be specific she made that very clear) decided to yell slander at the family of the opposing coach calling them “trash” as they were minding their business walking out of the game. The mother, who obviously had way to much to drink, than decided to continue her belligerent rant and start an argument between herself and the opposing coaches family. Unfortunately one of the comsewogue students got in the cross fire of this women’s drunken rampage and this women ended up kicking a 16 year old in the back. I hope garden city administration, support system, and fans can hold this women accountable for her actions at a HIGH SCHOOL LACROSSE GAME.

Now that high school is over those D1 guys get to continue to compete where most kids wanted to be and could not get there. They will have great D1 memories. Now that HS is over some kids will only get to talk about beating MacArthur and East Meadow 16-0. The non traditional schools did very well. No one expected them to win it all. Just compete. Most years GC would beat Carey by a lot. This year GC only won by three. So having D1 kids did mean something.
