Question what do the sections do when a coach yells at a player from the other team (and gets in there face). School should at least suspend the for some time.

How are the teams looking at the scrimmages today? Any surprises?

Get over it.

It becomes a question between the coaches. No coach should ever yell at another team's players. Depends how or why.

West coach starts where he finished last year, blows another game for team. You call a time out!

Relax, long season ahead. It was a pre-season fundraiser for cancer. Scores weren't even being kept on the scoreboard, only time. Didn't see a timeout taken by either team in the three games that we played. Obviously wasn't an option

Tough to even judge the day. Some teams played their starters the whole game while others had everyone get in. Lots of dropped balls and missed passes, and blown opportunities. But there are a ton of new players this year on many of these teams trying to figure out where they fit. The West Coach played his first, second and third players so I don’t think he was trying to win. They have new pieces that they needed to mesh in and they looked better as the day went.

Sorry to break it to you but it was a real game with a real score, and real stats added to the record book. GC beat SW in every position. Better athletes, better coached team won

Thanks for clearing that up. Next time just use SW so there's no confusion. Thought you meant Hills West. No shame in losing to GC, they are deep at every position every year. Could move up to A and give WM a run for the LIC

Slow your roll with your better stuff. If you were better you would have not needed OT. Shouldnt have come to that, bet your coach would have called a TO when it mattered. Oh wait, he did. Funny how that works out.

GC won the 3rd qtr and that won them the game (that and the SW coach not calling TO in regulation). For a team looking to go undefeated, today was a dagger or springboard; anyone could win, unfortunately there is only one winner, the only real implications were national rankings. For GC it matters where you are in June, for SW it's May.

Suffolk teams need to win these non league games and use them to climb the rankings. SW had their shot and came up short. GC has 8 non league games, had they lost they'd have 7 more opportunities. Suffolk has got to do something about the limited 2 non league game restrictions.

He was able to win some ground balls and had some wing help, but he was less than 50%. Regardless of what was reported to Newsday. SW Fogo was clearly better.

My kid plays for Hills West so I didn’t see every game. Our boys were sloppy early on but played much better against Northport. We have a bunch of new starters and the coaches are trying to figure out where everyone works best. Harborfields looked really good on offense and their defense held strong. Great back and forth game with Northport and both teams seemed to be putting players in spots to see how they did. We didn’t play ESM or COMMACK but they looked ok without knowing the score and the short time I watched. Th games were one game break so you really couldn’t watch them all with a kid playing. It was a great day, well run and was well worth it. A great way to iron out the kinks before the first game.

Agreed, good day for a great cause. Nice tune up for the season. Most teams that I saw were rotating a lot of players in order to figure stuff out. Good luck to everyone this week.

Oh boy SW daddy, you’re in for a tough wake up call come college. Nobody cares how you win/lose. A win is a win, and a loss is a loss.. Right now you’re in the losers bracket. But the kid is good and I’m sure will bounce back. But this time GC got the best of him. Stats don’t lie, call it a day. And for the record GC went 61% at the X against a quality opponent, we’ll take it! Go GC!

No, Suffolk teams need to win their league games, win the county championship, win the LIC and go on to win the State Championship. The non-league games mean nothing.

Hey relax I'm on your side, the boys did well but the film doesn't lie. I don't care about "on the record" or the paper we all know that's discretionary at best. The list above is from the game. Pick what suits you best, but 13 of 23 is not 60%. 56.5%. SW Kid isn't going to have a wake up call in college, saying that just minimized the wing play. GC fogo played a great game.

Saturday's going to be a another battle!

Good scrimmages between West Islip, CSH and Massapequa. East Islip was in over their heads but I'm sure a good day for them as well.

Dude,

You need a hobby.

Ur stressing your kid out. He doesn't want to relive every face off you recorded on video.

Let him have some fun - or he will burn out.

It was a scrimmage, but it was a lot to a little . 12-4 maybe?

Mt Sinai crushed Walt Whitman 15-5, and stopped scoring at 15 at the half. They are a powerhouse this year.

Oh boy, this is going to be a long year if we have to listen to Sinai propaganda already because the "won" a scrimmage.

What a ridiculous thing to write at the start of 2019 season.

Don't have to wait for next year......only two juniors go on the field this year.

not "just" a scrimmage, but a scrimmage against a team picked by experts to be the 2nd best in the country. Clearly they aren't there yet as they got handled in every facet of the game by a "C" school. Yes, June is what matters but clearly any observer would walk away from viewing this saying Mount Sinai can play, with anyone...and maybe Suffolk A is more open than people have prognosticated for this season.
