Just remember that 2024 Express North Coach also coached Express North 2018. Express North 2018 ended up being one of the best 2018 teams in the Country with commits to Hopkins, Georgetown, Brown among others. 2024 team will likely end up the same.

Schreiber is a world class man that cares about his kids, you wont learn much from Roy unless you stand next to one of his kids and listen really closely as he whispers in their ears . -- Express North all the way , we are very happy with Express North and the level of instruction that is going on

That’s great about the instruction but it’s not translating into a lot of wins for the kids unless they travel to B tourneys. But none of these club teams mean much if your son attends a competitive HS that gets a lot attention from college scouts. Capisce

7 ps. Prior proper planning prevents [ChillLaxin] poor performance. This is not about winning in middle school. This is about properly planning for the future when it does matter. Or else what’s the point

Wins are not a great indicator of player development at this age. Most high schools really don’t get the kind of attention club teams do when it comes to recruiting. Been that way for a while.

Wins give the team/players confidence. Why else would you play in b tourneys. Sure, player development is critical but if your team/ organization is not getting better like what the chargers went thru and now eclipse is going thru, then the parents will be looking for a new club. If you are happy with the level of instruction there, great it’s all relative.

2way, preds have already played in a couple of weak tourneys according to tourney machine. Eclipse might as well also, a total money grab with multiple teams getting decimated. Xpress north and Express CT both struggling during tourneys. Westchester Was Games is a juggernaut

What is a B team now ? Is it that the old C team? AA is that like "This goes to 11" from Spinal Tap?

I think the B team is just the second team in a particular year, not all tournaments use AA as a division just A and B. We were recently at a tourney that had an A and a B division. The A division were clearly AA teams , some were going to the world series. It's very confusing sometimes.

Recruiting takes place primarily at premier tournaments attended by the top club programs.

Maverick showtime is currently one of the most prestigious showcases ... there used to be a Maverick showtime tournament that was not high level. Different thing ...

True, play all the time and your team will be better. But look at Prime Time-- sure is a top program in the entire country. They play together a lot but don't take over the lives of their players. If that top player on Express from Westchester played for them, "dominate" might be the wrong word. Predators and Eclipse no jokes either. The Bandits are an exceptional team and have been since 2nd grade-- don't think they reflect "Long Island" on the whole. Express always been strong. But don't think players on LI are so much better than here. Maybe it's more that Long Island has created a massive culture of playing competitive lacrosse and with so many kids/parents/coaches it is inevitable that the best ones will find one another and kick butt. It's not about playing year-round though of course that helps.

That player from Westchester did play for prime time last year but transferred to express last fall. The announcers said it a couple of times during the wsyl game that he transferred to express’ for their coaching and player development based on his interviews. Everyone else that plays for express is from LI with the exception of Rockefeller.

on an individual basis, westchester produces many many many top quality lax players and that is very obvious. but when you play against a team that works on their game nonstop as a team, and has committed coaching, they are tough to beat- 91 bandits is together all the time, they play box together, etc etc etc etc... 91 crush 2020, 91 2024, etc etc etc

IMO 2023 Rankings 1. Primetime 2. Preds 3. LI Express North 4. Eclipse 5. 2-Way 6. Lone Wolf, Rhino 8. 91 TS, 3d TS 10. Rest-ballers, Swash, Warriors
Primetime so far in front not even close. Preds solid 2 and surprsing Express North with strong tourney against top competition 3rd. Eclipse doesn't really play much so 4 by default as 2-Way struggling this season. Next tier teams both losing lots so they are farther back than expected especially Rhino. Rest seem to lose against lower level competition as season progresses.
2024 Rankings 1. PrimeTime 2. Express North 3. Preds 4. Eclipse 5. 2-Way
Top 3 are real close so changes almost weekly. Probably will be re-arranged based on next tourney.

So who is going to help CTlAxdad with some opinions on other age groups? These 2023 and 2024 rankings are pretty solid. Need thoughts on 2025, 2022. Come on people, help this guy out.

Too bad we will all never see roster changes for all teams 3 weeks from now

We lost to pt 2024 4 times this summer, very strong team. But, If I had a dollar for every time the coach told his players to pass it to his son , I could retire. That said. We have some similar issues. Every coach is a dad. Does anyone out there love their situaton? 2way? Preds? Any comments.

As a parent without a 24 kid where would the PT kids go? Express North, 2Way? Are all the area teams basically trading kids at this point?

Too bad we will all never see roster changes for all teams 3 weeks from now At 2024,2way beat Preds by one goal when they played in the fall. More recently Preds lost to 24east twice, once in a bravheart, while 2way split with 24east. 2way also beat igloo which beat Preds at laxfest. Based on the 2 head to head and common opponent would make sense to have 2way above Preds. Preds has more hype but that’s not enough for me to have Oteds above a team they lost to. 91TS a few good players from closing the gap. So for me it is more of a bucket ranking system, in no particular order) Top 3 (all going to NLF club championship next week so let’s see how they end up there)Eclipse, North and PT Next 3- 2way, Preds, 91(gap is there but not insurmountable.)

problem with TS 91 is that they seem content on playing a very mediocre schedule, i am not sure that is enough to attract the few players they need to close that gap, parents want to know you are playing consistently good teams and when you play that schedule, its anything but consistent , not putting it down, but not sure why a good player would not want to be challenged

We have some similar issues. Every coach is a dad. Does anyone out there love their situaton? 2way? Preds? Any comments. My two oldest are in college, summer lacrosse for them was much different than it is now. My two younger boys play for Express North and Predators. From my experience, your satisfaction with a program is directly tied to the coaching staff for your sons team. Are they engaged, knowledgeable, do they care about teaching or just cut throat winning? Watch the coaches during games when kids sub on/off the field--do they coaches talk to the kids, coaching them up? Do they coaches provide instruction between games and mingle with the team at tournaments or do they hide? The equation for "great coaching" includes many factors My boys have been fortunate in that their coaches have been wonderful, different personalities, but we know our kids improved greatly, the coaches cared and they established great friendships outside of town ball. Just one other thought. One of the best coaches my third son ever had was the father of a kid on the team, they don't all play Daddy ball.

2023 Rankings
1. Primetime 2. Preds 3. Express North 4. Eclipse 5. 2-Way 6. Express North Brameier 7. Preds B 8. 91 TS 8. Everyone else
2-Way keeps losing ans does now defunct Rhino. Suddenly TS 91 starting to win some mid level games. 3 of Top 4 in action this week at NLF. Put Express North B at 6 simply because everyone else is losing and they've won a bunch lately. Probably will change this week.
2022 RANKINGS 1. Primetime 2. Express North 3. Eclipse 4. Preds 5. 2-Way 6. 91 TS 7. Who knows

We are thinking about 91TS for our 2024 and were told they will play a harder schedule next year . That team had results with a B schedule.
