Crabs and API making it to Championships this weekend in 2 of the big tournaments - 91md in semi- good showing for MD teams- API in a Championship? Wow.... that’s a shocker. Where did Crabs play? Crabs played at the NLF Main Event. Beat LI Express and Primetime before losing to 91 Smash in finals All the top teams at NLF besides Igloo and Hawks - Igloo is never invited-not sure why Hawks didn't defend title- Prime-time looked very good as did Crabs but LI 91 too much for everyone

Beach Lax Tourney used to be good, was terrible this year. Little to no 2022 competition and overall poorly organized. No backup plan for rain, so the teams were kicked off the fields and had to use a high grass area in the back that were lined at the last minute. All championship games were cancelled. Scores are still not posted to the web site 2 days after the tourney is over! If you were lucky, you got 2.5 games.
9d1 sent their B team (United Mark$berry) to compete in the 2022AA bracket. Def not a AA team, they should have competed in B. Big, slow and no speed on that team. Easily defeated by Philly Frdom AA.
Evergrn also should have completed in B bracket, not A or AA. Def a less skilled team.
Lax Factry gave some competition.
Overall, very disappointing tournament.

Naptown tournament all chalk after first day. No big upsets. Seeding should be interesting.

Seeding was a joke, Annapolis Hawks were given the easiest schedule. No one was surprised there. Let’s see how they do against Dukes National team. Should be interesting.

Don’t some of the best 2022 DN players also play for Koopers 2021, which is also in Naptown final?

Can anyone explain and rank the best teams for the 2021 to 2024 grades for the state of Virginia? So first say the best Va team at each grade then rank that team or teams in the US or at least the East coast? My point is when looking around it seems that VA does not have a single club team at these age groups that is any good on the large scale. VLC and Madlax has very below avg teams at 2021 to 2023. The Madlax 2024 team is good but where are they in the large scale. Looking at the Naptown results all the VA teams got smoked. Just something to talk about. I do not care about who cheats or does not cheat just wondering how the VA teams are so bad at 2021 to 2024 overall.

The top 4 seeds made the final 4. Hawks True National RoughRiders Dukes. Hawks beat True national in OT. Dukes beat RoughRiders 7-4. Heard RoughRiders lost their best 2 middies before tournament even started. Out with injuries. Finals should be a good game with Hawks winning.

Second, what VA teams played at Naptown? You may have a point but many VA players play for MD teams and Madlax has many MD players so not really a VA club. The Madlax 2023 (DC) team and the 2024 team are in the top 5 nationally at least top 10. 3d which was at Naptown was about half from VA and they purchased Lax Factory (MD) so not really a VA team.

I hate to root against young kids, but I'm glad Duke's lost. The way Duke's pulls together an all-star team of kids from other clubs just to compete in a couple tournaments just rubs me the wrong way. Their history of ripping people off is also disturbing.

Many Northern VA kids play for Madlax, DC Express, or Next Level in Bethesda which also are at the highest level. The other purely northern VA clubs are all A or B level.

Well I was really not trying to fight I just thought it would be something to talk about debate a little. So after these answers I do get that NOVA kids tend to go play for Maryland teams and I also understand that Madlax pulls from MD a lot. So lets go with this question. Where is all the NOVA / VA talent at the 2021 and 2022 levels. How much of the VA talent from these grade years playing with MD clubs?

So your question is where is all the NOVA talent at 2022 (don't know about 2021 but this a 2022 board) dare I even say it? The mere mention of the word may bring back a wrath not seen since say August.............. EVER verde?? At this age group there is no more HOCO: CAV's, Evergreen, VEL, VLC, MADLAX, Top Caliber, Battlax ect... will make up the bulk of N. VA talent. While none of these teams may end up top 10 in the nation they will all help build better HS programs and each have ties to a school or schools. Top players at these programs will get college looks and all will be good. There just is not nearly as much interest in the sport in N.VA as in the past this NVYLL season was average at best.

Is anyone going to give Team 91 MD and for that matter Crabsant props? All MD final. Where are all the New Yorkers now? One of you said the only 91 team that belonged was NY and the rest stunk. MD beat Express and then Smash just to get to the final. And the Smash game was an butt whoopin. That’s 3 of last 4 against Express and two in a row against Smash. These are all really talented teams, INCLUDING MD. Say what you want, but when it’s on the line, those kids step up. Loaded with talented kids who play their butt off. My point is mostly that all these teams are great and can knock each other off on any given day. No reason to put one down. This was 91 MD’s weekend. Give them some credit.

Congratulations on Team 9t1 MD winning NLF Championship. Was nice to see all the championship games was on ESPN3. All still there on replay for anyone to see.
After watching the game. Both teams have some big players. Obviously there are some reclassed/prefirst players. Team 9t1 had a great defense that to me was the big difference and reason they won. What many have said here about this team seems to be true. The offense had one player that seemed to have to get the ball most times. Then always have the green light to take it on himself to try to do something. For having the ball so much, I dont think he scored or assisted in any goal.
Overall a well played game for talented players in the 8th grade going to 9th.

Overall a well played game for talented players in the 8th grade going to 9th. Disagree. The difference in the game was the 6'4 FOGO with the full beard that the announcers didn't have his name because he wasn't on the roster submitted to the tournament. 91MD won almost every faceoff all weekend. Thought Crabs defense played fantastic considering 91MD had the ball so much. Best players on the team yesterday were from out of town. While the ball goes through one person constantly, as you said he had no goals or assists.

No FCA or RoughRiders at the NLF event. Roughriders were invited. In fact, PA Roughriders won one of the A divisions. FCA chooses not to play after June. Same reason they don't play in the 2022 Millon tournaments. Without question this weekend was the best collection of teams all summer.

My son is a 23 but is friends with kids on both 91MD and Crabs. 91MD's defense played great and was their regulars, But Fogo and most of the offense were Texas implants. Great game - could've went either way. FOGO discrepancy was easily the biggest difference in the outcome though. Just my opinion...

While the ball goes through one person constantly, as you said he had no goals or assists.[/quote]
I would be willing to bet that 6'4 FOGO from TX was the kid from Stick Star Select in Dallas. My son's team played them earlier this summer at CrabFeast and he was literally a grown man amongst boys.
Millon is willing to add whomever to win a stupid summer tournament.
