2017 average game attendance-Mens Lacrosse #1-Maryland-5,248 #2-Syracuse-4,386 #3-Michigan-3,672
Seems like a few more than friends and family I think the issue is a lot of lacrosse programs play their games in the big football stadiums and as a result fans are spread out. Also cameras are mostly on one side so you only see the opposite side of the seats where there may be few fans. Yet I am sorry to say lacrosse does not draw huge numbers. It will continue to grow but never draw like basketball and football. I think the issue is that most people dont understand or care for the game unless someone you know is playing. How is Hofstra and Stony Brook average attendance? i would be suprised if they hit 1500 at most of their games. Thanks for your opinion. Why don't you provide the thread with facts. Your opinion just indicates that you are lazy and probably uninformed on the subject. the poster is correct Hofstra vs Stony last year @ Hof ATTENDANCE: 1411 St. Johns vs HOfstra ATTENDANCE: 1868 those are 2 local teams Providence @ Hof Atten 803 hof @ NC ATTENDANCE: 2036

Hahahaha The SA Chammy JV game has more than 421. 50 kids that won’t ever make varsity for both teams multiplied by 3 (dad, Mom, nanny/housekeeper)=300. Add in the kids from JV2 and their coaches and you’ve got 421

Conveniently, you left off those West Islip Chaminade game. Realistically what LI (Nassau or Suffolk) campus is the best venue for a game accommodating a large crowd. Been to Bethpage for those college games, always seems like a nice venue. Garden City and ESM have nice fields. Will Farmingdale get their sports campus.

Worst turf on Long island it's like concrete and their bleachers are at the 20 yard line. They also are unsteady and dangerous.

Port Wash field is very bad, good field to keep the knee and ankle doctors in business. Last time i was there a lot of other fields are being fixed up, if they fix up the big turf it would be a cool place to play. Thank god they dont have a football team to play on that field any more.

for Sect XI. if you have a snow day within the 1st week you will not be able to have the first games. Does anyone coordinate the start of official practice and the scheduling?
NYS state, states, practice starts 3/5, 10 practices are needed for the team and 8 for an individual before the first game. 1 snow day and a student taking SAT cuts this .

I didn't think school could have had 5 scrimmages but wow some teams are loading up. How many of these will truly happen. Are programs hedging their bets some will get cancelled.

Massapequa and Ward Melville are the front runners but who are the teams with the best chance of upsetting them. Any surprise teams stepping up this year?

Keep wishing hater...
Save this quote and check back with me over the next few years. Likely a small step back this year, but probably the best public school talent on LI in the underclass. They will be relevant this year and dominant in years to come...And by the way, when was CSH in the "doldrums"? Have been a top program for decades...
