Lets be real the Championship goes through Massapequa
Massapequa has the talent and the coaching. Radomski has been the head guy since 2010 and has won a lot more than he has lost. Any team that has Powers on the sideline as an assistant has a great coaching staff. He runs a tight ship and gets every ounce of talent out of his players. From the net on up to attack they dont have any real weakness. If they have one it may be the attack so scores may be more like 9-8 than the high scoring they were used to in the past.
Farmingdales Hungerford has taken the reins in a very confident manner from longtime coach Hartranft (who compiled 708 wins over 48 years) before retirement. Coach Hungerford was an assistant under Hartranft and shows alot of commitment to this program and gets them playing together year round. They will have this team ready to go. This may be a down year though. They are not as deep as they have been in the past and the loss of their goalie to a torn acl is a big one. The underclassmen here will make or break this team senior group not as strong as in the past. Goalie position may be their Achilles heel if their goalie does not return from the injury.
Syossets Calabria may not be everyones favorite but you cant argue with his results. He has won year in and year out for a long time. This may be a tough year doesnt have the depth he once had especially at attack. The loss of key attackman has opened the door for some of the seniors to step up. Some changes of position also will help. They dont have a true stud at faceoff this is big for this team. Need major contributions from the midfield and from the big man on attack. Possession may be their biggest Achilles heel.
Port and its coaching carousel has been a big issue. Every since Coach Case left they have gone through coaches like a hot knife through butter. The current coach Neil throws more temper tantrums on the sideline than a nursery school at nap time. Has a talented group with no standout studs but a good group of players. Will see major contributions from its 10th grade group at midfield. They will live and die by their faceoff and the attacks ability or inability to put the ball on net. Could this be their year to make the finals? Coaching will be a major Achilles heel for this team.

I don't think its a question of degree. If they are not the best team in C at the end of the season then I'm wrong. Glad to see the conference got some new additions this year to make it more competitive. Which team do you think will win C this year? Which team in B, GC or Set? A I don't think there is any question will be Massapequa, Farmingdale, Syosset, Port. Pequa and Syo are going to be bad Port is going to win A this year obviously What happens when they lose to a C team . . . ?? Only C team they play is LV....and they aren’t losing that game-haven’t ever. Hopefully their new coach can have the Falcons ready for whoever else they play...plus, A-B-C doesn’t matter. CSH is C and beats A schools...more kids in the school doesn’t always mean better teams! Hopefully this can last through May, but no chance a C team cover EVER beat Port. They are in C for a reason for god sakes. You do realize that A, B, and C has zero to do with the talent/ability of a the schools' programs, and 100% based upon the number of students in the schools? How about this clown saying C school isn’t based upon ability. Put down the Zima and learn about NC rankings Skippy. Port is ranked 1 in A for a reason bud and will uphold it again as everyone has agreed on here but you! Whether my son tries hard or not.

I am replying to this persons statement below.. I couldnt quote because it had too many.
"How about this clown saying C school isn’t based upon ability. Put down the Zima and learn about NC rankings Skippy. Port is ranked 1 in A for a reason bud and will uphold it again as everyone has agreed on here but you! Whether my son tries hard or not."
My response is this: The rankings are massapequa syosset port farmingdale so I would say you need better reading glasses. The divisions are based on school size but caliber of team is based on play on the field. There are a lot of very good teams and the bigger the school always doesnt mean the better the team.

Merry Christmas! Not condoning it but hope your kid walks the straight and narrow for the rest of their life. You're no better by doing this. FYI he was charged with criminal trespass not a hate crime as you so wrongly stated. FAKE NEWS!!!!!!!!!

We all should care. It should be an honor to represent your school and student athletes should be held to a higher level. It a major problem in society today. Parents and schools not holding these kids accountable for their actions. If that was my kid he would never play lacrosse again.

No one should be surprised about Syo kid, they are raised that way. This would never happen in a town like Massapequa, Wantaugh or Seaford, where the kid's cop father would get this buried long before it was in Newsday. Pathetic to pick on a 16 or 17 year old kid.

I agree, but you’re a complete _ to deflect it to another town. If you need to publicly shame a kid anonymously you are a complete coward, I am sure your son is one too as that is how you are raising him. I don’t live in Syosset so I don’t care. But I don’t need to publicly shame teenagers, you are pathetic.

I agree, but you’re a complete -l to deflect it to another town. If you need to publicly shame a kid anonymously you are a complete coward, I am sure your son is one too as that is how you are raising him. I don’t live in Syosset so I don’t care. But I don’t need to publicly shame teenagers, you are pathetic. You need to raise your standards. Boys this age in other times were men and actually fought evil. You're treating them like babies and they are acting like it. They should be publicly shamed for horrendous public behavior. They are way to old not to know better, they are not children.

[quote=Anonymous]No one should be surprised about the kid, they are raised that way. This would never happen in a town like Massapequa, Wantaugh or Seaford, where the kid's cop father would get this buried long before it was in Newsday. Pathetic to pick on a 16 or 17 year old kid. Why don’t you put YOUR name on here so this kids dad can confront you? Coward!

People please lets not bash high school kids. We need to realize kids are kids and they all make mistakes in life. No one was hurt and only damage done was to a wall. Yes what they did was stupid but I dont know a single person who is infallible as an adult let alone as a teenage boy. I can assure you their parents are handling it home and the school has set its punishment. Can we get back to talking lacrosse a bit. We have the season right around the corner.
I also want to touch on where kids commit. Regardless if you like the school or not doesnt give you the right top bash a kid. Unless you are the player or parent of the player you do not know why certain decisions are made. The decision to play college lacrosse is not one that I believe many take lightly and where they go or how they get there is no ones but the families business. These kids work hard on and off the field to accomplish their dream of playing lacrosse at the next level. There is a school for everyone.

What about HHHE in '18? Is this Connetquot's or Smithtown East's last hurra, I think they could be there in the end, why talk top 3, when 4 teams make it to semis no such thing as a game deciding third best. I think there are 5 top teams Does Commack or Northport's have depth or future? Is being ranked 7th for West Islip a wake up or is 6th place the best they can pull out? Will Sachem become irrelevant and fall in with the next tier? I'd like to see which of the following will break through further. Bayshore Huntington Lindenhurst Riverhead Whitman But I'd have to agree, Ward Melville is king, probably for next few years, the battle below them is going to be interesting. Any thoughts on the top ten in Suffolk? In Suffolk "A" the top teams will be: Ward Melville Smithton West Connetquot Not sure anyone else has a chance to win the county championship. Maybe Smithton East? Cormmack? Any thoughts on the top ten in Suffolk? In Suffolk "A" the top teams will be: Ward Melville Smithton West Connetquot Not sure anyone else has a chance to win the county championship. Maybe Smithton East? Cormmack?

HHHE possible final four in 18' but unlikely. Not sure if this is the end for Connetquot or Smithtown East but Connetquot should be tough. Cormmack has a chance to get to the final four not sure about Northport. Both have a future but neither has the depth to knock off top teams consistently. West Islip being ranked 7th is a result of sandbagging in order to impact schedule. It will not matter, they are not a top 4 team. When was either Sachem relevant? Riverhead has the best chance of the group you listed. Ward Melville is favorite. 18's and 19's very good as were the 17's. Will they have the depth going forward? Don't think the 20's are deep maybe they fall off like WI has done. Smithtown West is solid and future looks good. WM vs Connetquot in finals.
