None at 91 or FCA.

So assuming you mean Roughriders since no one else has had tryouts.

True, but a couple points. That describes my son, and we tried to play 2021 but our club wouldn't allow it since it is grade based now. He always played on age until it went grade based.
Also, like it or not, it is best NOW to play 2022 because if not, you won't have spring lacrosse.

Mensa member: So if you're in 8th grade but should be going into the 9th grade, what private or public school is going to let you play spring lacrosse with them. There are no other 9th grade age rec or club teams that play in the spring. Oh I see, take the spring off and play with your 2021 team in the summer. The number of nitwits posting on these forums multiplies daily. A lot of non-athlete parents living through their kids. Life's not fair, The kids that study at Andover Prep have better teachers than yours, a lot of them are also older, many of them will crush their competition in college because they're better prepared. Welcome to life and stop complaining. By the way if your son was that good you would want him playing up to get better.

Those teams are nothing without some of their best players either. So there.

MM is going to have to fly in a lot more kids from Texas and probably the new Team 91 NC this year since he has lost at least 6 of his players and everyone is realizing what a lunatic he is!!!

I don't believe this to be accurate; the key players that "left' have been upgraded; particularly in Goal and Face Off. The 2022 will be much improved.

What if you were born Sept 2 or even Aug 31 ? No repeating or maybe did repeat kindergarten , on the advice from every teacher and well within the rules of all school guidelines and until the middle of last year on board with all lacrosse guidelines. When Lacrosse decides to change the timeline again this year what will everyone be saying then. A few days or even weeks makes such a difference? Calling out all kids and suggesting they are cheaters is deplorable and flat out an excuse for most.
I completely agree that holding back in middle school or high school is a problem, but when almost all your sports is a U11-U13 with a year playing on the younger side a year playing on the older is fair.
For the most part the issue on this site is an excuse for most for why there son is lost a game.

As many as he will have, it will be far less than D.C. express, madlax, fca, and Crabs. Please stop acting like this is the team leading the holdback charge. Either you are ignorant of the entire lacrosse landscape or you have other issues with the Hawks.

The only one uninformed is MM himself. He just doesn't get how much of a SOB he is and how much he is not liked in youth lax. He is a total pos that is only interested in himself and his kid. Doesn't mean crap how much he knows or doesn't know about lax, no one wants to be associated or be around him.
Just trying to keep you informed Mark.

No difference in age of a heldback kid and a prefirst kid.. Age is what youth sports goes by in all YOUTH Sports except lacrosse. It may not be right for a small minority of kids to old..but they seemed to survive for 50 years until three to four years ago when the whole grade based garbage got started and let kids play down.

Totally depends on which players they lost. 2nd and 3rd string move every year to get more time. Did the starters move? Anyone have the scoop?

Then tell the clubs to start tryouts later. Yeah, it was our choice to go to lacrosse tryouts the first week of August.

Most will probably stay. A couple are leaving. Some of the best kids will stay and work with Dukes. Others are looking for greener grass. They are nationally ranked #3, but locally ranked #8. Coaching and development are sometimes questioned which is why kids may leave. Overall negative vibe by some of the parents also may push some kids away.

The Hawks (and every other top team in the country) are following the HoCo age requirements and age requirements of 99% of the tournaments. No rule breaking will occur. Some bitter people want to go back to 3rd grade rec rules and consider any violation of those 3rd grade rules "cheating".

Not in YOUTH sports that lead up to High School. Not one governing body of YOUTH sports recommends or promotes grade based teams. Try as you might to justify the older prefirsts/holdbacks/reclassed players. Age base is the norm for YOUTH sports.

In regards to MM, do yourself a favor and run far very far away from him!

He is a horrible coach and treats his players like trash! Calling a 13 year old a f@cking [lacrosse], f@cking stupid idiot and that they suck and should quit is totally unacceptable!

Every wonder about why he isn't coaching at higher level??? Because his behavior is so horrible that no college or MLL team will take him! Yes, he assist at Gilman, but he is very careful about his behavior there because they will kick him to the curb if he acts up.
