I am looking to sign my 2030 Goalie up for some winter goalie trainings and I was looking for opinions.
I am interested in either 2Way's Stopper school or Next Save Lacrosse's (PT Goalie Coach) Winter training. 2 Way is charging 900 for nine 90 min sessions and NSL is charging 1200 for six 90 min sessions.
Has anyone done wither and what can you tell me?
Having gone through club lacrosse 3x already, I would ask both 2way and Next Save the following:
Who is providing the goalie instructions, what are his qualifications and will there be anyone else assisting him?
Will he (and assistant) be attending all sessions?
Is there a participation limit of goalies in the winter session? (The coach to player ratio is vital info).
Winter training for non-2way players is obviously a supplemental tryout. Beware that 2way 2030 Black has at least 2 goalies and there was drama involving the Express North 2030 Black’s goalie that jumped to 2way in October.
EN has made some unprofessional statements about 2way and the perceived process that the player left EN.
Also, 2way has 2 teams per grade. The Black teams are the favorite teams. If your son is on a Carolina team, make plans to leave 2way ASAP, as they only view Carolina players as the unwanted step-children in 2ways family. Just follow 2way social media, it’s only players from the Black teams.
No doubt, re-classing or going to a private school does help your son in making a Black team.
