They had 8 coaches that had to be asked to get off the field at least 5x.....enjoy the tee shirts. oh wait, every boy got one in the fun day and well run tournament.

You Idiot they came with 12 kids 4 coaches and their own goalie who doesn't play on wolfpack. Coaches on the field? what games were you watching? They were actually down kids

OK, 12 kids even worse!! Bring some more kids let them have fun ..all the other teams brought 18+ kids...and Comon now... there were at least 8 coaches on that field. the Golie has played for BBP in the past....Just saying...

They had 3 subs and they are a great team with some really talented kids but the coaches are indeed crazy, especially when things go exactly their way. They must be good coaches through because they are one of the top town teams on LI.

Esm lost many players on participating in this tourney once schedule was posted with real late game time not to mention driving an hour west to cantiauge park. A call went in to request change time but we were told there is nothing that can be switched or altered. We committed to this event and sucked it up. That day two boys backed out due to uncontrollable reason and another came late after he was released from stony brook e/r for an injury he received from earlier SCPAL game. We could have easily skipped this event but all these boys wanted to do it.

They were always coming with just 15 total. When asked for how many shirts were needed for their team Brent answered 15. This was a week prior to the tourney.

Also, the tourney was always 6:00-9:30p so that's a poor excuse. It does suck that a few kids had to miss due to injury or as you say uncontrollable reasons as it was a great evening of youth lax.

Seriously with this?
Esm 2024 program has 2 teams, obviously this invite was for our top team. There are some boys on our top team that could not attend so spots were filled from our 2nd team. Few of our parents backed out the day of, not the boys fault, if you are so inquisitive on knowing the uncontrollable reasons give me your contact information and I will let you in on the great story. We contemplated skipping the tournament all together but decided to stick it out. Could not imagine the press if we backed out of this event.

Get over yourself guy. The event would have went on with or without your team and still would have been great.

These coaches are 2 of the better coaches on the island. zero ego, really teach the boys the skills and the game. there is not a kid on the team that does not respect these guys and play their guts out for them. this team could be the best B team on long island, and better than more than a few "A" teams.

Last year they mixed the teams. This year they will play at full strength. Black, yellow, green and white in that order.

When you say they mixed teams, they took the best players from 4 teams and made 2?

Doesn't Express have a lot of injured players? Doubt they can pull it off.

No, they didn't have 4 teams last spring. They only brought their top two; however, since there was no A and B brackets they mixed the teams to try to even them out so neither would be blown out. This year they are bringing all of their teams and keeping them at full stregnth

You mean their 6th graders will be on the top 2 teams and their 5th graders will be on their bottom two teams. They always have older kids playing for them. The parents on the sidelines admit to being up a grade. There is no way they are bringing 4 teams all in the 5th grade.

MA is right up there in leading the charge on using the ever present holdbacks - it seems that they, MD, PA, and NJ are in a competition on which can do this more to their advantage!

You people and your excuses! God forbid a team from off of LI beats junior's team! They must be cheating! How about this. They are the only viable option for a tremendous region. That team essentially attracts all of the talent in Massachusetts so they are able to make exceptional teams. Some of the kids are actually tall, too!

Oh, and US Lax has about as much power over lacrosse tournaments as I do. Tournaments are run by clubs, not US Lax.

Try talking to some of their parents - they freely offer that so many of their boys are older than the normal year for the grade = they almost sound proud about it! This is not surprising - all of NE had the same problem in hockey before USAH reigned it in by switching to a mandatory age-based system. So, the question is, "Why was USAH able to make it happen versus USL?".

So no holdbacks on LI? Ok, got it. I didn't know that. Moron. Does USAH run the leagues? Tournaments? There are no leagues in lax, [lacrosse] for brains. Clubs set up tourneys to make money. The more eligible teams, the better.

Why don't you go stick with hockey. They're all used to the bitching.

You might want to go back and smack your teachers for your poor reading comprehension - show me where I said LI has no holdbacks?? And no, I didn't allude to that either. Yes, LI has holdbacks, but it is nowhere near the problem that exists in those other states. You obviously missed the whole "pride" in doing it thing. You are obviously also missing the bigger picture question/problem, which in the end has turned the sport into something that is much less than it could be. And, I have zero involvement with youth USAH - just happen to know a fair amount about it! Another typical anonymous keyboard warrior.

Tell me again how holdbacks are ruining the sport? When they get to middle school, do the 7th graders just play the 7th graders? 8th just play 8th? Is there JV9 for 9th grade and JV10 for 10th? Then surely it can't be possible that an 8th or 9th grader plays on a varsity team then, right? Those teams are just for 17 year olds??? Aren't they??

So tell me again, how are they ruining it? Furthermore, what is your evidence that other states do it more than NY? Because you heard so and so say that the other parents admitted it. Seriously, get a grip. You sound like a little Mary.

Hey, some teams like to cheat to get a t-shirt. That's fine. A team wanted my son to play down a year. We left that team. My son felt like it was cheating and he did not want to do that. Nor did I . I guess some people have no morals so they can brag to their neighbors how great their son is. Lol. Comical.
