how come the Crabs were not invited? I thought they were one of the best teams in MD. Especially since they have beaten Igloo, FCA and Roughriders every time they have played. At this age, 2022?

Yes, at this age. Crabs easily beat FCA Blue(12-1) and Roughriders this fall. Crabs beat Igloo last summer in a close game. Crabs got off to a slow start last spring, but improved steadily through the summer

FCA isn't really good at this age and Roughriders ? Cmon Outlaws are better My point was, someone asked why Crabs wasn't invited. Crabs hasn't played Outlaws. They did beat those 3 teams that were invited though. Also beat Hawks last Spring and Freedon PA twice last year. So not sure who is hosting this thing, but pretty sure there is some reason that Crabs wasn't invited other than that they invited better teams.

I am pretty sure 91 MD is hosting and Crabs are not happy about the competition for talent in Baltimore

Funny that MM posted pictures of almost every yellow helmet that tried out for 91 on the website. Funny thing is, not a single kid left Crabs for 91. On the other hand, several Breakers players did not move over to 91 and some went to Crabs.

Regarding the Bandits...they will not be at that "A" 2022 Tournament, because they have to stay back and crush all the B+, B, B- and C+ 2022 teams and beat their chests as CHAMPIONS!

Go away. This was going to be a civil, informative 2022 thread. Some of us actually want to share information and find out about other teams and opportunities, not bring down kids, parents, and coaches.

Are the NLF showcase invites this summer real at this age or just a money grab?

Are the NLF showcase invites this summer real at this age or just a money grab? What do you mean? They are in 6th grade, so not sure what the definition of a money grab is. Will the be watched by college coaches? Of course not, they are in 6th grade. Will they play against top competition at nice venues? The answer to that is yes. What do you consider a money grab at this age?

Not sure where you got that. It's name is the NLF Super Summer Series Tournament. The NLF series are invitation only. Apparently your panties are in a bunch since your club wasn't invited. Obviously, there are no college coaches. Showcase typically means that there are not playoffs and hence no champion as opposed to calling it a tournament. But, since this is actually called a tournament, I'm still not sure what your problem is with it other than your son wasn't invited.

I read "showcase" above. And unfortunately, my son's team is playing. But I still KNOW it is a money grab! And as your son gets older you will see that many showcases do have playoffs.

Why is it unfortunate that your son is playing in a tournament against some of the top teams in the country? Are you holding out for the 6th grade tournaments with college coaches attending? You make no sense. All tournaments are money grabs. The term typically applies to a tournament where nothing is gained by attending. Please enlighten us...What tournaments are more worthwhile for your 6th grader than the NLF Summer Tournament?

Let's calm down people. The poster might be referring to the NLF futures showcase that took place in Mass last summer and I'm sure will take place again. So I feel yes , it is a money grab for a "showcase " for 6th graders even if college coaches are there . They might admire the way the talent keeps getting younger but that's about it
