MD United coach was an evaluator for the Brine selection process. All MD United kids that tried out made the team. Probably just a coincidence.

Didn't Stars beat YJ at that tournament in NJ at Rider College? or was that 2020?

YJ rosters posted. Looks like many bailed on 4th team so back to 3, probably a wise choice. 2nd team looks strong with some nice additions and will be very competitive this summer. Lots af B team girls left.

Lots af B team girls left. Not sure what you mean by lots but this team will be equal or better than any other A team on LI. I would also bet the girls that left will be back at tryouts after this summer season.

Here's what I want to talk about-
Here are M&D's 2016 Committs:
Samantha Courtemanche (Centennial) Lock Haven Univ Caroline Esmond (Glenelg) George Washington Kate Glaros (Wilde Lake) Marquette Hannah Ignacio (Mount de Sales) Marquette Emma Johnson (Atholton) James Madison Blair Kessler (McDonogh) Elon Vicotori LaVeck (Spalding) Naval Acad Devin McIntyre (Centennial) Salisbury Cameron McKelvin (Westminster) Univ of Mass. Lyndsey McLamb (Mount Hebron) Lock Haven Abbe Mona (St. Mary's) Towson Kaeleigh Morrill (Darien CT) Univ of PA Alana Phillips (McDonogh) Naval Academy Katie Schluederberg (Howard) Penn State Georgia Scheidereith (Towson) Albany Jaime Schneidereith (Towson) Drexel Lucy Schneidereith (Towson) Drexel Maggie Schneidereith (Towson) John Hopkins Makenzie Schulze (Notre Dame Prep) WM & Mary Kalieann Shepherd (Atholton) Lock Haven Kate Taylor (Acad of the Holy Cross) Boston Leah Zadjura (Marriotts Ridge) Elon
22 Total - WHERE ARE THE REST OF THE PLAYERS GOING? Do the Red Teams get any traction at all? This is really not that impressive if you ask me.
HERE are TLC's 2016 Commits-
Sophie Brown - Highpoint University Savannah Buchanan - University of Notre Dame Madeleine Clark - University of Oregon Jodi Credit - St. Mary's College of Maryland Caroline Cummings - Drexel University Bridget Danko - Marquette Mackenzie Gandy - Robert Morris University Melanie Gandy - Robert Morris University Kelly Harrington - University of Virginia Rebecca Hill - Florida Southern University Avery Hoelting - Vanderbilt University Rachel Karwacki - Boston College Eva King - Vanderbilt University Morgan McDonnell - George Washington University Caroline Muller - University of Michigan Cassidy Nozemack - Elon University Grace Pollak - Furman University Coulby Riehl - Georgetown University Ann Pearson Smith - Washington & Lee University
Less players but more impressive group I feel. But again, where are the rest of the players? Is Team A really paying/playing so Team B can go forth and prosper?
Intelligent thoughts with out attacks welcomed. Whats the best road to travel? A Club that takes care of everyone or who only promotes and plays the top girls?

There are a couple things funny about this actually. The first is that Hero's has never beaten M&D. The second thing that is funny is the poster doesn't know how to spell Hero's! I'm guess this is someone starting trouble because of this. I don't think any actual Hero's parent feels they have surpassed M&D.

That M&D list is not a complete list. And some of those girls are from the Red team. They are updating the website. Not sure why there are girls missing from there. They had taken commitments off the website and are in the process of adding them. In their history, usually about 100% of the Black team and about half of the Red team play in college.

Without even researching there are 2 MD commits missing on the M&D list and one from Hopkins missing also. A lot of the girls on the M&D list are Red players. Not sure what your point was, but M&D is the best at getting girls from both teams to college.

My point is funny guy, that M&D is not the best at getting them into college. Lets wait and see the final list. Can't just make blanket statements without the proof. M&D's recruits do not look that impressive for all the chest pounding- face it. YJ's recruits blow them away in this area as well.
Any info on TLC's list?

I can't see how a coach, acting as an evaluator for a Brine team (or any select team for that matter such as Under Armour) could get away with stocking it with kids from their own club team without someone raising a stink about it. Could it be that the girls earned it based on the competition they were up against?

Could it be that the girls earned it based on the competition they were up against? Or could it be that MD United Girls made up the vast majority of the girls trying out? The tryouts were at their fields. No Baltimore area girls tried out. There are Baltimore tryouts in the Spring. Who cares about Brine anyway? Does anyone still tryout for this?

M&D girls were given the most Brine spots - more than any Club. M&D had 4 evaluators on the field and an M&D Coach runs it. Must be just a coincidence.

Your list for 2016 Black does not include 7 D1 commits (MD, Florida, Hopkins, Penn State etc) and includes multiple talented players from the Red team.
Nice try though!

First of all, it's not a contest. It doesn't matter who goes where, as long as the player and parents are happy with the destination. Second, I bet if you look at ANY club team's website and look at the alumni they would ALL look the same...D1, D2, D3. Example 1:
Integrity: Small club. Caitlin Blanche, Navy Katie Cavanaugh, Belmont Abbey Lexi Clark, Shenandoah Hannah Coakley, Rollins College Kali Ferguson, Mount Olive Sarah Gillogly, Monmouth University Skylar Grady, UMBC Carson Gregg, University of Denver Angelica Jensen, Hofstra Jackie Kaderabek, Mount Olive Mckensey Lavin, Shenandoah Gina Openshaw, Brown University (Field Hockey) Emily Nutter, Monmouth University Lucy Sullivan, Salisbury Madeline Szanyi, Hofstra University
Example 2: Md United: Medium large club. Payton Beach - Virginia Tech Julianna Brown - George Mason Sydney Davis - St. Francis Abby Dengler - Grand Valley State Meredith Dillon - Costal Carolina Brianna Harris - Florida Kayla Harris - US Naval Academy Brittany Jacobs - Campbell Chelsea Kibler - U Penn Kayla Koch - Presbyterian College Maddie McDaniel - James Madison Laura Milleker - Denver Abigail O’Neal - Grand Valley State Emma Schwartz - George Mason Skylar Simmers - Grand Valley State Kasey Stevens - Jacksonville Taylor Sullivan - San Diego State Makenzie Aponte - Long Island U Kendall Bannan - Salisbury Molly Barkman - Longwood Abby Bernhardt - Mary Washington Jordan Conley - [lacrosse] Brooke Dooley - Delaware Emily D’Orsaneo - Loch Haven Madeline Gonzalez - Central Michigan Emma Hamilton - Central Michigan Maddie La Clair - Towson Brooke Malamphy - La Salle Stephanie Miller - Monmouth Kelly Sheilds - IUP Abigail Single - Salisbury Alexandra Wilder - Rollins University I just don't see any real difference here. The destination of all the players on all the clubs runs the gamut in many parameters.

Elevate has changed a lot since last year. The club had multiple sessions for testing at the Hub in Syosett last year. They have nothing this year. nothing. Why? No one knows. No reason given. Anyone know why? Seems very odd. Quality girls left the program for a start up program at Igloo. Def step backward. The Hub changed owners. and what happened at Cold Spring Harbor, where Elevate had full run of facilities/...coincidence that Elevate loes both Hub AND CSH in same season? This is the same conversation taking place on the 2019 thread.

Someone spent all last winter talking up 21 elevate, this past summer showed how far behind the top teams they actually are, some pretty bad blowouts. Sounds like gap will be even larger this summer, should probably start playing B brackets in tournaments.

Can I ask you a question? Why are you so worried about elevate 2021? I'm not concerned on winning every game. Don't need to pump my chest around. It's not about that. They are in 7th grade. Is your daughter getting better? Does she like her teammates? Is she having fun? Stop living through your kid. I have been there and done it. I played a sport in college. You probably sat on the bench or never even played a sport.

Then again, you never know. I'm hoping that they do end up being successful. I am from a rival club, but I believe that the more the talent is spread out on LI, the better off every one will be. A lax monopoly like YJ does nothing from us except force our girls to have limited options and learning possibilities. No knock on YJ, just mentioning them because for a long time they were the place to be. They still have a great program, but now other teams are able to get better players who will start to compete with them. Just trying to be a positive voice on a website that often finds the negativity in everything.
