B teams equal money grabs. Uncommitted coaches. Uncommitted parents. Uncommitted kids. Rosters of 25 kids. 7 will show at practice. The forecast will say 20 percent chance of rain, practice will be cancelled. But the club still collects 25 tuitions. Almost all B teams fall into this category. There are some that don’t. But not many.
Not true. As your kid gets older and rides the bench on his A team, the B team won’t look so bad. I know plenty of kids that play in college that played on B teams their entire career. Just because they are an A player at 12 doesn’t mean they will be an A player at 16 or 17.
