Scott Rose was a great man. He was one of the most giving people I have ever met. He gave because he wanted to help people and he did so without seeking any acknowledgment.

I can't tell you how many team dinners he put together for the Freeport boys football team (since the field was right next door to his Rose Fence headquarters). He helped Baldwin, his alma matter as well.

Each year he would adopt hundreds of homeless children through our Holiday Magic program. He also helped out Hope House Ministries (Boys home in Port Jefferson) every year.

He leaves behind a loving wife, three great kids (all involved in lacrosse), a large group of employees, but maybe most importantly he leaves behind hundreds of friends. Some he knew intimately and some who never met him, but his influence and charity affected their lives. Scott will be missed. RIP.
