What states are the public school grads on team USA from? For the 2023 and 2024 recruiting classes there are fewer than 10 public schools kids going D1 from Maryland. That is less than 10% of all the MD recruits. Most of the kids come from about 12 private schools.
Why does it matter if they go D1 from private or public? Get over yourself

It doesn't matter.
But the point is, if you want to play top D1, your odds of it happening while going to a public school in Maryland are slim.
I'm assuming that is just relative to boys since it certainly isn't relevant to girls

Correct - this is just the stats for boys. Probably worth mentioning that most of the public school D1 recruits are from two schools - Broadneck and Severna Park. So about 15 high schools (2 public) account for the vast majority of D1 recruits in Maryland. The strongest conclusion you can draw is that families with kids on the college lacrosse track are going to push their kids to those schools to let them compete with the best talent.
