Relentless poaching is a little dramatic. You know those kids left because of their own reasons , if you think anyone associated with YJ actively recruited any of them other than friends they have that play YJ you are delusional . Those kids and parents believe YJ offers more opportunities for their kids than TG so they did what they feel is best for their kids. Say what you want but if your kid is a top player you want them on a top team which it appears the YJ teams will continue to be , seems as if TG now heading the way of Liberty. YJ will not be for everyone as those top teams will be highly competitive to make and to stand out on. Many of the better second team kids left at the 2020 age as they saw the writing on the wall but now seems they will be replaced with top team kids being moved down or TG kids coming over.

I really do feel bad For the kids that are trapped on tg. Their parents have to see the light. It is sometimes just convenient for them and their daughters make friends and of course you don't want to leave. But sometimes being a parent means sacrificing. Unfortunately, their are more cons then pros. There are going to be a lot of disappointed children. So sad. Maybe if you didn't have a bad experience yet, you must know someone that has. You never know when it's your turn.

You need help , no one knows who or what you are talking about other than it seems you are someones new coach. The best kids seek out the best competition and want to play for the best teams end of story.

It seems as though everyone that makes a comment about tg you relate to this 2017 dad. There's obviously more than one person commenting because my daughter has been on same team for two years and it's not a 2017 team. You my man are the one that needs counseling.

Did his leaving have anything to do with it , maybe but probably more related to the fact that the coach left , the coaching overall in TG is not good .Amazing so many TG blaming CK for their downfall when they should be blaming BS for not running a club the best players want to play for .

You mean to be on YJ "TOP" team will mean something. That's a definite, but teams 2-5 are same or worse than everyone else.

Most parents and kids are dialed into the happenings mainly on their own team, the scary thing here is when you take a step back and look at the big picture, especially at the younger ages, all the teams at the young ages lost their best players and multiple other black players. These are the kids and parents who are very dialed into skill training, development and know the ins and outs of lacrosse. Why are they all walking away from spots on the black team? You can argue that they are not the better players, tell us that they are ball hogs and the team is better by subtraction, tell us that parents are nightmares.... tell us whatever you need to in order to sleep at night. But the undeniable fact is the TG lost alot of talent that will not be replaced and the teams and the club will be weaker next year.

Yes, 2020 black lost significant players. Will the team be much different absolutely, any parent that say it won't is a blind idiot. Yes, YJ gained a tremendous amount of talent and will undoubtedly be a crazy strong team, one that TG 2020 will not in it's current state , will not be able to beat. That does not mean that the kids who stayed are "irrelevant". Kids leave teams all the time for different reasons, this situation is no different. Who cares why they left, they are gone and people should let it go and move on. The kids who stayed did so because they wanted to and the ones who left did so because they wanted to. It is possible that not all parents & kids have a "we must dominate and win every game" attitude. That works for some but not for others. Sometimes there's more to being a successful team than having an undefeated season! But it's whatever works for you & your kid. Good luck to the ones who left and good luck to the ones who stayed.

More reason for you to be happy where you are and leave us alone. Why do you care? aren't you happy in YJ land?

I agree , will be interesting to see , believe it or not Curcio team seemed to be drama free for the most part in the past will be interesting to see what happens when the new ones arrive. Sometimes winning is just not worth it.

White probably doesn't have enough kids to field a team at this point but why isn't purple playing?

I am sur ethe parents of these kids that are in a recruiting year on 2018 purple and white are demanding that these kids attend the fall showcase and I am sure BS is working on that as we speak!

Curcio team has plenty of drama. And they will drop the wrong kids to make room for the new arrivals

2018 people chill. The following is a recruiting timeline you need to worry about

Fall 2014 - d1 2017. D2 and d3 2016
Summer 2015 - d1 2018 d2 and d3 2017
Fall 2015 d1 - 2018 d2 and d3 2017

Parents from both purple and white have complained already. It has fallen on deaf ears. At this point, it is too late to get them in any meaningful fall tournament. Why continue to be milked of all your money if you get nothing in return? When the indoor practices start, will the Black team be there? Or will they be at Sports Hub like last year. Different set of rules for the 2018 Black team compared to the other 2 teams.

If you are a Top 2018 player a D-1 Coach May be looking at you now. That is it for 2018. Lower D-1 and D-2 and D-3 are still recruiting 2016 players. This fall is a crucial time for 2017 players. 2018 parents relax your Daughters time will come.

In years past only the two oldest age groups played in the fall tournaments. That would be 2016 & 2017 for this year. If the 2018 Black team is going it is because of the goalie.

Please tell us the drama , kid plays on that team and it seems relatively drama free.

It is because of the recruiting calendar has been moved up for the top 2018's.
The top D-1 programs are working on finalizing their 2017's but they are already starting to identify and recruit the top 2018's. They keep looking at younger and younger players.

Same on the boys side, the top of the 2018 class (for now) are already starting to commit.

The college coaches know what they like when they see it and they will actively pursue the players they like even if they are in the 9th grade. If your child is at the top of the class they will be getting looked at this fall and summer (some last summer). Some have already been contacted some have been invited to visit schools and some have committed already.

If (for now, things change) your daughter is one of the best on her team (not your opinion but the college coaches opinion) she will attract attention and interest from the top college programs this fall and summer.
If your daughter is (currently) at the next level it will take a little longer (but it will happen).

So I agree that the 2018's can chill a bit (only the top players are getting interest right now) but don't let your kids know that , tell them to have fun and play with enthusiasm, work hard and hustle all over the field. Coaches will notice and they will find a home if they want to play in college. Some of the next tier players will get better "deals" than the top players.

I have watched as the recruiting has gotten younger and younger but in the end it stays the same. The top kids go first and then everything opens up.

I don't think the issue is if 2018s should go to recruiting tournaments or not I think the fact is - all 2018s pay the same amount of $$ and should have access to the same opportunities - winter fall and summer. Why treat them different? Or maybe they should be treated different?

It blows my mind that if you people are that unhappy go somewhere else. You are not doing your kid or yourself any justice. Of course 2018 black will go because the goalie is a "Smith". They are Definately looking at 2018 players like stated above. But that's not to say that there are only good players on the black team only. IT WILL NEVER CHANGE!!!! It will always be the same. You could be missing that good look from a coach that follows your daughter. All it takes is one great game and a good impression to spark a coach's interest in following your daughter.
