lets be accurate 2021 elevate blue sent 11 kids from last year down to 2nd team and moved no one up from b to a ...11 new girls this year ...a big shake up lets see how that works out.. Lets be even more accurate. They had 26 kids on the team last year. Th new roster is 22. So, of the 26, they moved 11 down wheich means they kept 15 of the top kids and added 7 new kids and based on the amazing talent at tryouts, adding 7 kids to the top 15 will make them even better. That is accurate. Sounds great for Elevate, then why duck the competiton this fall? 2021 attending two local tourneys with no competition and avoiding the big programs by not attending Prime Time Youmg Guns, Lax For The Cure or T3. You you want to pound your chest about being one of the best teams in this age group, then show-up and play against the best. Are we going to hear the excuses again this year that the team does not practice much before the summer tourneys and we have to wait for them to gel and get results? You cannot have it both ways!!!

I don't know why elevate parent would be debating with a tg parent. There is absolutely NO comparison in the operation of tg and elevate. Elevate is by far a much more superior organization. Dont banter with these miserable people. Couldnt be more true!

I don't think 6th grade teams need to be traveling in the fall when the real season starts in the summer. I think it's a lot to ask of people from time and from an expense perspective. Does TG need to go to NJ, MD, etc in the fall when those kids can stay on LI and lose to local teams? If they were really good it may make sense but the are no better than most of the local talent. Why put that on parents and kids at 11 or 12 years old. No need. Save your money - lose locally.

Summer is the big season, have your young kids play soccer, field hockey and basketball in the fall/winter. They'll benefit more. Fall club is important for Freshmen, Sophomores and unrecruited Juniors. They should be going to as many premier recruiting avents as possible. Running the babies up and down the east coast is as big a waste of team parent's money as running off to the U15 championship. Club is for getting recruited, why do you insist on committing money to events that do not further that objective? For bragging rights? Seriously?? Hiring a personal trainer if you can't help yourself would give you more bang for your buck at this age...though that's a waste too.

there's lots of miserable people to go around at both organizations and others too. They are certainly not limited to any one club. Sounds like the bulk of them are at TG though. No rosters, daddy fall teams, excluding other kids, back stabbing - sounds like it is money well spent.

Except for avoiding lax burnout, field hockey does zip for your lax game and soccer is the same type of running. I agree with hoops, but fhe three tourneys referenced are done by 11/17 so no conflict. They represent three day of lax, two in Jersey on the same weekend. Not a big investment of time or money. Particularly for a team with so many new players, they need to play together more than a few times ahead of the summer season.

I think Medusa Elite was from Garden City. As for the Hofstra 7on 7, most teams entered are coached by parents. The only teams with real coaches were from HS varsity teams or teams from out of the area. With many teams having 22-26 kids per team, all kids on one team can not be asked. So parents make up their own teams, whether it's all from one travel team or a mix of girls from a few teams. There was a few combo teams, along with girls who signed up as singles. ANY parent can make their own team. Parents that didn't and then bitched about why their kid wasn't asked to play with teammates. Maybe their is a reason for that. Parents that actually make the effort to go in these tournaments don't want to deal with cry babies and ball hogs.

Nobody cares what Elevate does. They are a second tier organization. They do not win any tournaments That why the 2021 Elevate team beat TG Black this summer? hmmmmmmmmm....... Maybe you should start caring! And the Elevate 2017 Team is far better than TG as well. Elevate 2021 lost a couple top players and will not be as competitive Where did they go Nowhere - they are still there - have the roster - just an angry TG parent trying to cause trouble since they lost to elevate last year - all top kids from 2021 elevate are there - TG people are desperate and taking to starting rumors - we have our rosters so we know who is there. Not true. There are 11 new girls. Some top going to yj, no matter what your roster says.

You two clubs can argue about who is better, TG or Elevate at this age, but stop there. Pounding chest on being best team in age group??? You can't be serious!!! Both of those teams are a million miles away from that and neither will likely ever approach that. Seriously, you may play competitive games against each other and pound on the very weak competition you play at weak tournaments. Elevate seems on the rise, may get to an elite level some day, but still has a way to go. TG seems on the decline, never quite got to the elite level. Will they turn it around? This year seemed tough on them, le'ts see what next year brings.

It's a money grab for the school. Very, very few high school girls attend. The little ones enjoyed it, the older girls not so much. Do not confuse this with a recruting event, they are complete different animals.

My point is that you sound like a pompous [lacrosse] telling people when and how they should do things to benefit their kids. Burn out is usually what jack [lacrosse] parents like you say about kids who play alot of lacrosse because you are afraid they are going to leave your kid behind. You said on a lacrosse forum that the kids would benefit more playing field hockey in the fall than lacrosse, why? Each kid is different , some unlike yours enjoy playing whenever possible. Thanks for all of your ridiculous advice but I will take a pass.

Nice way to keep the sticks sharp and get some good run with friends.

Like stated above yes keeps the girls with their hands on their stick but if your an athlete you will be involved in a fall sport. Plenty of them. Also is girls are older they have fall tournaments too. For the older girls it's a complete waste of time and money. When SS was hired it was probably part of her contract with them. It just funds the school and gives SS recognition she doesn't deserve. Plenty if fall tournaments out there even for the younger girls where money is donated to a good cause like breast cancer not SS. My thoughts are that Hofstra will have enough of her shananigans and not renew her contract before our daughters go to college. She's an afterthought for me. Yg and other competitive teams are not going to want to go to Hofstra anyway as long as she is associated.

Obviously you have issues with SS. These tournaments are for raising money for the women's lacrosse program at Hofstra. Every college does it. They also do clinics to raise money for their programs. It allows Hofstra to give out money to players that they wouldn't normally have. Unlike other schools, Hofstra doesn't have another big D1 team at the school to bring a cash flow in. She is doing nothing different than any other D1 women's college coach. Northwestern, UNC, Maryland and many others have clinics right here on LI to raise money for their programs while watching future talent.

What shenanigans?

She does not coach!!!!!!!!!! She only coaches the black team the one her niece is on. She does not oversee anything... I never see her on the sidelines. Once in a while you get a hello from the golf cart. For whoever wants to deny this oh right ahead but it's not right.

One has nothing to do with the other. 7 on 7s at Hofstra are not combined with any TG event. No one from TG is required to go. Again, you must have issues with SS. Does CR coach every YJ team? Does any organizer coach all their teams? Their website says every team is overseen by her, not coached!

A private college that costs a lot of $$$ that gets money from Alumni and tuition, etc. There are far BETTER causes to give to. If you arent aware of any we can name them.If they sell this to you as a good cause I also have a bridge waiting for YOUR name.

HA-HA-HA how funny that a few weeks ago they were killing the 2020 dad who left to go to YJ. Talking about him like a dog on and off BOTC and yet today I saw a bunch of TG kids played with him at Lax for Hope. COMICAL totally COMICAL. Now hopefully they will shut the [lacrosse] up about who left and where they went.

Maybe. But their obviously trying to say I told you so. People on this thread don't want to hear anything about reality. They want to live in denial. The best thing that dad could of done was get his daughter off that team. Now someone will come back with a negative comment like he deserves it. You people are ruining your children and you don't know it.

Was there a large turnover for TG 2018 teams? Are new players on the black team from other clubs or did are they players that have moved up from purple and white? What is the maximum roster size at top guns?

What is the maximum roster size at top guns? Is your daughter currently on a TG team or with another club? TG already had their tryouts for the year.

I have no idea who this guy is, but one thing about an anonymous forum is that one or two people can post as frequently as they want and make it look like an number of people don't like someone or make it look like someone was an outcast, when in reality they had a few people unhappy with them.

CK is a great coach. All the girls love to play for him. The parents that constantly bash him are the ones that daughters are not asked to play for the rebels. It is all jealousy driven. The truth is that the rebels do not loose. This drives the parents of the kids who are not invited absolutely crazy.

I agree with you, this sounds to me like the the angry dad from 2017. I am also most sure that this is the same unhappy person that makes all these Anti TG posts.
